Macoun Weather Station

Macoun Weather Station Located on Robinson Avenue in Macoun Sask., this station has been recording and transmitting weather data since July 28, 2012.

Located in Macoun, Saskatchewan, the Nova Blare Weather Station (named after my Granddaughter Ekko Anna Nova and my Grandson Soren Blare) was erected and placed into operation on July 28, 2012. When searching for it on Weather Underground it is called ISASKATC41 and on the Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP) it is known as EW1708. Quality control is monitored using MADIS (Meterorological Assim

Its geographical location is Latitude 49.3173° Longitude -103.2670° Elevation 570 metres. The station sensors include barometer, temperature, humidity, rainfall, solar radiation, ultra violet and anemometer and wind direction. Using all the sensors the station calculates dew point, windchill, heat index, precipitation rate, wind run gust and average speed, and cloud base. Data is collected and sent every 2.5 seconds. There are also 4 weather cams which face North, East, West and South. Using the Weather Underground smartphone app, you can monitor this stations weather as well as many more features.
