🍂✨ Fall Minis: October 5th ✨🍂

The air is cooling, the leaves are turning, and just like every year I’m reminded how quickly seasons slip away.

For me, fall always feels like a marker of time passing. One moment it’s summer and the kids are running barefoot in the grass, and the next I’m pulling out sweaters, watching the leaves scatter, and realizing another year has quietly unfolded.

I’ve learned that the little things we think we’ll always remember - the way someone laughs, the warmth of a hug, the golden glow of the sun through the trees - fade faster than we expect. That’s why I believe so deeply in photos. They hold onto the things our hearts can’t.

That’s what these fall minis are about. Not stiff smiles or “perfect” poses, but freezing just a tiny piece of now. Whether that’s you and your person, your kids, your parents, or even just you, taking a moment to be seen in this season of your life.

The first days at home with a newborn are a mix of quiet pauses and heart-full of chaos. The way the light falls through the window during a late-morning cuddle, tiny fingers wrapped around yours, the big sibling leaning in closer than ever before, eager to protect and love this brand-new little soul.

These are the moments that often go unnoticed in the busyness of adjusting to life with a baby but one day, they’ll be the ones you hold onto most. The sound of the rocking chair creaking, the way her little bow looked so big on her tiny head, the softness of her breath against your chest.

I got to step into that sacred space today, camera in hand, heart wide open and what a gift it was. 🌿💕

Last year my Christmas setup arrived after minis were over (thanks Canada Post 😅)… but this year the magic is happening on time! 🎄✨

I’ll be opening Christmas Minis in the studio before the holidays and hosting Fall Minis in early October instead of my usual orchard sessions. 🍂

Plus, my studio changes with the seasons too- yes, even newborn sessions can have a cozy fall vibe. 🧡👶

✨ There’s something so powerful about watching the life you created… create their own.

This family session was overflowing with so much love. Grandparents surrounded by their daughters and grandkids, laughter echoing through every moment. Pure joy. Pure connection. Pure legacy.

It’s these moments that remind us how precious it is to gather, to slow down, and to truly see the story unfolding right in front of us. ❤️

It was such a beautiful evening out at Wynn Farms. Truly one of my favourite spots year after year! I'm so grateful for all the amazing families and couples i had the pleasure in meeting among the blooms.
