Update 8:10PM:
Service has been restored. Hydro one down from Hemlo to White River due to an "Animal Contact".

Big thanks to the Hydro one crews for working hard and restoring the power back to the highway.

Update 1:50 PM:
Hydro One is reporting two additional power outages spanning from Hemlo to White River. Their updated estimated restoration time is now 9:00 PM.

Automated system updates often assign default timelines when an initial target is missed, so we're hopeful service will return much sooner.

We’ll continue monitoring the situation closely and share new details as soon as we have them.

Due to a power outage along Highway 17, internet service is currently down in Manitouwadge.

Hydro One estimates power will be restored by 1:45 PM. We are monitoring the situation and will update this post as soon as we have more information.

The upstream provider has resolved the issue, and all services are now back online and stable. Thank you all for your patience and understanding tonight while things were out of our hands. We apologize again for the downtime.

We are currently experiencing an outage with our upstream provider outside of town. We are actively investigating the issue and will update this post as soon as we have more information.

7:40 PM Update: We have been informed that the upstream provider is actively working on the issue and has dispatched personnel to one of their facilities to resolve it. We do not have an ETA or any further details at this time, as the situation is out of our hands. We are waiting for them to restore service as soon as possible and will keep you posted.

We can confirm there is a major outage with one the Uplink Providers outside our network. They have informed they are aware of the situation, they are working on it, but have no ETA at this time.

10:51 AM: Mobert area is having Hydro issues and Hydro One has been dispatched. It looks like our Uplink providers equipment might have been knocked out due to the Hydro Outage.

We have 2 ETA's, one is Noon and the other is 12:45 PM. Will update this post as we get more information.

Internet has now been restored. There was a Fire on Highway 17 just west of Hemlo. This caused damage to the Power Lines in the area that have now been restored thanks to Hydro One.

We've confirmed that it is an issue with the uplink provider outside of town. They've also confirmed that there's an issue and are starting to work on a resolution and cause to the outage.

Update 2:47 PM:
There has been a fire on Highway 17 just West of Hemlo that has damaged the Powerlines. Hydro One crew has been dispatched and has given an ETA of 4:30PM for restoration. As long as there damage was not extensive we are hoping for a quick restoration.

The internet into Manitouwadge is now restored. We are still trying to investigate what exactly caused the interruption with the uplink provider. They haven't given us any information besides that there was an issue between us and Toronto.

We expect everything to stay online and running from here on without any more interruptions this evening.
