🚗💥 Whiplash After a Car Accident?

Whiplash is one of the most common injuries following a motor vehicle accident. It happens when the neck is forcefully moved back and forth, often leaving you with pain, stiffness, and headaches.

The good news? You don’t have to live with it. Both Physiotherapy and Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) play a key role in recovery:

✨ Physiotherapy can help with:

Restoring neck mobility

Reducing pain & stiffness

Strengthening muscles for long-term support

Preventing chronic issues

💆 Registered Massage Therapy can help with:

Relaxing tight, painful muscles

Improving circulation & healing

Reducing stress and tension after the accident

Improve overall function

Together, Physio + RMT provide a well-rounded approach to help you heal faster and get back to feeling like yourself. 💙

👉 If you’ve been in a car accident and are struggling with neck pain, book an assessment today—early treatment makes a big difference!

💡 Post-Concussion Care
Did you know physiotherapists can specialize in post-concussion management? 🧠✨

Gone are the days of “just rest.” Research now shows that early, active intervention can reduce symptoms and lead to better long-term outcomes.

How can physio help after a concussion?
✔️ Whiplash therapy
✔️ Vestibular rehabilitation
✔️ Visual rehabilitation
✔️ Exercise rehabilitation
✔️ Education & recovery resources

Meet Jordana, MPT 👋
Trained through CCMI (Complete Concussion Management Inc.), Jordana brings extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in concussion care. She’s also immersed in the sports world — working on the bench with lacrosse 🥍 & hockey 🏒, and playing flag football 🏈 herself.

Concussions are unfortunate, but they happen. Taking care of your brain health is just as important as your muscle and joint health ❤️

⭐️ Welcome Jordana ⭐️
Are you as excited as we are!? Once you get to know Jordana you will be! ❤️

💠Jordana earned her Master’s in Physiotherapy from Leeds Beckett University in 2021. Before pursuing her career in healthcare, she competed as an elite-level gymnast until an injury ended her time in the sport. Nearly two years of physiotherapy during her recovery sparked her passion for the profession, inspired by the dedication and expertise of her physiotherapist. Today, Jordana remains active as an avid runner, flag football player, and strength training enthusiast, and she enjoys regular walks with her dog, Peanut.

💠She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During her undergraduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working with the university’s varsity women’s soccer team and a local minor midget AA hockey team. Following graduation, she spent two seasons with the Langley Rams and worked as a Kinesiologist at two multidisciplinary clinics, focusing primarily on ICBC clients.

💠Jordana is deeply passionate about sports rehabilitation and athlete performance. She has been part of the Langley Trappers for three seasons and the Coquitlam Sr. A Adanacs for two seasons, where she emphasizes the importance of athletes understanding their bodies—knowing when to push through an injury during the season and when rest is essential. She also prioritizes effective pre-season training to help prevent avoidable injuries. In addition to her sports work, Jordana is committed to guiding ICBC clients through recovery after motor vehicle accidents and supporting the general population with a wide range of musculoskeletal concerns.

💠Jordana will begin working Sept. 8th and will likely book up quickly! Head online now to book an appointment with her!

Welcome Hannah!!

She is a Registered Massage Therapist who has been a trusted part of the community for over 14 years.

Through continuous training, she has access to a variety of techniques from osteopathic myofascial-release, to pressure/trigger point therapy, and positional-release therapy. Varied skills like these allow her to manage all kinds of issues such as **chronic neck/back pain, postural imbalances, headaches and migraines, sports maintenance needs, stress/anxiety,** and more.

After years of running her practice and becoming a mom to two children (both born with tongue-ties and early feeding difficulties), Hannah discovered a passion for supporting newborns and their families. This led her to become a **Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist** with additional training in newborn/infant feeding issues including managing tongue ties, assessing newborn oral-motor skills, improving breastfeeding outcomes via bodywork, and treating fascial-tension issues that arise before and after birth (such as torticollis).

Her pediatric training allows her give newborns all of the benefits of massage including boosting immune function, improving newborn cognitive and motor development, improving weight gain, easing GI discomfort, and reducing stress associated with colic. Hannah is passionate about setting babies up for success during those critical early stages of life.

Job description

Unique Physiotherapy/RMT Job Opportunity

Our clinic is expanding! We are looking for one physiotherapist and one RMT to join our collective of multidisciplinary therapists. This opportunity is unique as it starts at a much higher than typical split fee model, and instead is a straight rental fee. Typical income works out to 80-90% split in the therapists favour. We are located in and have equipment access to a large, community based gym in Maple Ridge. Our appointments are one to one, and longer than typical. No room hopping or patient juggling! Our referrals are plentiful, and we aim to respond to this high demand, assist the local community and connections we have established, and provide a great job to a great therapist. That said, any additional referrals you may have or want to establish are welcome! We’re also keen to work with therapists who are excited and passionate about their work, and are actively cultivating patient lists.

Are you the right fit? This opportunity is best filled by someone who is organised, personable, great at communication, and who is a strong independent worker, but excellent at collaborating with a supportive team. We’re looking for someone who naturally goes the extra mile, loves to give back, is creative and growth minded. Additional assets are IMS/dry needling for physiotherapist, and sports related background and interest, and clinical experience. We welcome all physiotherapists, from new grads to experienced clinicians.

Physiotherapist shift availability:
Monday: 7AM - 1:00PM Wed 7am-130pm, Thurs 2pm-9pm, Fri (open hours), Sat (open hours) determined (potentially additional shifts available)

Benefits:

- Casual/athletic dress
- Some schedule flexibility
- On-site childcare in 2 hour time slots
- On-site gym, sauna/steam room, showers.
- On-site plentiful free parking
- Multidisciplinary clinic
- Volunteer opportunities in the community
- Licence/Certification:
- CPTBC Registration Number (required)

Please email a cover letter and resume to [email protected]

We look forward to meeting you!

Please reach out for RMT hours of availability!!

This weekend, part of our team and friends did a taping course in Vancouver to sharpen up/review our skills! Physiotherapist , Kinesiologist , and Langley Chiro .alissabannsdc had a great time learning and laughing!

Taping can be a very important tool in a therapists toolbox! Taping can be used to help support clients back to full function. Taping is best used to help support/manage pain while a client is working on strength and load progression to return to activity!

We were fortunate to spent time learning about taping the ankle, wrist, fingers, knee, elbow, feet, hip, and shoulder! Reach out if you have any questions about taping and whether it can benefit you on your return to activity! 🙌
