CCTVmedium Hosts Tea & Cake Celebration for Seniors
hosted a heartwarming Tea & Cake Celebration for seniors, creating a space for wellness, learning, and cultural connection.

The program began with an engaging session led by Teacher Zhang, who explained the differences between floral, white, and green teas, with a special focus on the health benefits of floral teas. During the tea-tasting that followed, participants actively engaged with questions, filling the room with lively discussion and the soothing aroma of tea.

Following this, Teacher Heather introduced the art of sponge cake baking, guiding participants through the steps of creating a light and delicious dessert. Her baking sessions are always full of delightful surprises — this time, she prepared oolong tea cakes, making 30 to 40 small cakes using more than ten eggs and other ingredients. She generously shared her recipe and methods, ensuring that participants could easily recreate the treat at home.

On July 12, China and India jointly opened their first-ever pavilion at the 43rd Carabram Multicultural Festival in Brampton, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties. The event featured music, dance, food, and was attended by federal, provincial, and municipal leaders.

📍 Commemorating 80 Years of Victory, Honoring Peace

On July 6, the Chinese Consulate General in Toronto hosted an Open Day to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War.

Nearly 100 guests joined us to remember history, honor international friends like Dr. George Hall, and celebrate China-Canada friendship. A special donation ceremony of Dr. Hall’s archives to Leshan, Sichuan, was held.

Let us carry forward our shared legacy and build a more peaceful future together. 🕊️🌍
