📍Brigden | ON - So much better in real life! 😍 This iconic metal statue at the Brigden Fairgrounds is titled "Early Morning Down on the Farm". It is often referred to as the Plowman statue. Artist Bill David welded the sculpture and it officially became the property of the Moore Agricultural Society in 1987. So amazing! You need to check it out - ride safe y'all! 🤘 ✌️ 🤙 . . . .

📍Irondale | ON - Ever tried riding your bike through a former 1870s boomtown? 🏍️💨 Welcome to Irondale, Ontario - the ultimate "blink and you'll miss it" spot in the Haliburton Highlands! It used to be full of iron miners, saloons, and pure chaos but today it's a peaceful, quiet paradise with a ghost town past. There is no more iron mining but the sideroads are worth exploring. Kick the standard highway cruising to the curb and map your next route through the Irondale backroads! Just keep an eye out for wildlife (and maybe a 19th-century ghost or two 👻). 📍Port Colborne | ON - 🍦Opened in September 1954 at 73 Main Street East, the Port Colborne Dairy Queen is the oldest continuously operating free-standing Dairy Queen in Canada. It features an authentic 1950s retro design, exclusively serves classic soft-serve ice cream, and proudly displays the original and recently restored neon rooftop sign. 📍Roseneath | ON - 😍 You simply must take time to visit the PrimRose Donkey Sanctuary. So amazing!! This charity, founded by Sheila Burns, is dedicated to rescuing, protecting, and rehabilitating abused, neglected, and unwanted donkeys, mules, and hinnies. When we visited this weekend, we counted over 30 animals alongside other farm residents like goats and cats. You can access the site for fence line visits on Thursdays and Sundays from 1-3pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcome and well appreciated. If you are interested, you can also schedule site visits for $20 per person. Make sure you stop by to check them out and ride safe y'all! 🤘 ✌️ 🤙 . . . .

📍Morewood | ON - 😍 This beautiful small town began as a United Empire Loyalists settlement back in the late 18th and early 19th. The original post office was established in 1862 and named "Morewood" by its first postmaster, Alex McKay, due to the dense woods surrounding the settlement at the time. So small, but so much history! Ride safe y'all! 🤘 ✌️ 🤙 . . . .
