The Village Hive is a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and remote workers who come together to work, share knowledge, collaborate and support each other. The Village Hive, has 3 locations:

- Markham (Markham Village)
- Duncan Mill (North York)
- Eglinton (Yonge & Eglinton)

The Village Hive is a welcoming place for entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote workers and people with w

orkplace flexibility to come together to share a professional workspace, network, collaborate and more. Bring your laptop, work for the day, enjoy free coffee/tea & great company and join one of our many workshops and networking opportunities along with many benefits and discounts for small business owners. The Village Hive has a private offices available on a daily or monthly basis, boardrooms, meeting rooms and a podcast room at our North York location. A big thank you to Howard for this special gift for our Duncan Mill Hive 🐝

He grew this succulent from a tiny clipping of one of our plants, 3D-printed the pot and the water insert, and gifted it to us. It was such a kind surprise and truly brightened our day 🪴

We love seeing the creativity our members bring into the space, and we’re so grateful for the care and heart Howard put into this 💛

Our Story

The Village Hive, located in the beautiful old Schoolhouse in Markham Village, joined the coworking movement in January 2016. Inspired by the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto, The Village Hive was opened with the purpose of bringing people together; to build community in this day and age of technology and remote working. Working from home can be isolating and lonely. Meeting in coffee shops can be distracting and unprofessional. We provide a welcoming place for entrepreneurs, freelancers, people with workplace flexibility to come together for networking, collaboration and health & wellness.

Bring your laptop, work for the day, enjoy free coffee/tea & great company and join one of our many workshops that are offered and our Thursday networking lunch to get caught up with others.

We are always excited to welcome new members. The Village Hive has a private office, boardroom, lounge, kitchenette and a beautiful yard that can be enjoyed in the spring and summer.
