A DECADE OF LOKAL DIGS ⭐️💋‼️😎 Feeling a little mushy, gushy, and proud that Lokal Digs has hit the 10 year mark. I’ve been many versions of myself through this decade, and Lokal Digs has been right there with me. What started as a way to connect with lokals and share my favourite bites, sights, and people quickly became something more ~ a place to express what I was loving, who I was loving, and the parts of life worth sharing. It gave me purpose. Even the clog vlog days.
There were moments when I wanted to walk away from it all (at least once a year), moments when I questioned whether any of it mattered, all while navigating changing friendships, priorities, business relationships, a full-time job and the normal messy bits of growing up. But I always seemed to find my way back because at the end of the day I was proud of what I was creating. Slowly with a lot of intention and heart.
Lokal Digs isn’t juuuuust about the writing, the beautiful photos, or finding the next great resto. I’ve spent years bopping around, tasting new things, and collecting stories, and I still love every bit of that. That s**t gets me giddy. But as I reflect on the years I realize those things were simply the backdrop. The real joy has been the people I’ve met along the way. Pals who see the world with curiosity, kindness, and a similar zest for life. Pals who are down for a silly time. A rockin’ sweet treat also hits though let’s be honest. And the mojo chicken iykyk.
