The kids are back in school. Routines are returning. Life feels like it’s settling into structure again.
This is the perfect time to reset, regroup, and refocus on your health and fitness goals.
I truly believe every one of us should be doing something to move the needle on our health. That looks different for everyone — but it matters for all of us. Because your body is a gift. Your health is a gift. And it deserves to be nurtured.

This weekend my son’s hockey team won a tournament — they went 5-0. 🏒 The boys were on such a high — and it was so fun to watch them experience all the feels of winning.

But here’s what I couldn’t stop thinking about:
Winning feels incredible… but losing teaches us more.

And just like in sports, our health and fitness journey isn’t about always winning.

Sometimes we’re in our groove, habits clicking, workouts feeling strong. (That’s a win.)

Other times, life is messy, and we can’t check all the boxes. (That might feel like a loss, but it isn’t.)

The key? Don’t let the highs get too high or the lows get too low. Keep showing up. Stay in the game.

Almost two years ago, I started seeing my naturopath, Dr. Daiana Castleman. At the time, I was curious (and honestly a little confused) about perimenopause.

For a few years, I’d been struggling with:

* Trouble sleeping
* Brain fog
* Breast tenderness
* Cycle changes
* And mood swings (just ask my husband 😉)

I didn’t know there were treatment options available to actually support me through this stage.

One of the biggest things I learned was this: the goal isn’t to “balance” hormones (they naturally fluctuate, so balancing isn’t possible) — the goal is to support your hormones and treat your symptoms.

Dr. Castleman prescribed progesterone, which I take 14 days a month. Almost right away, I noticed relief:
✨ My breast tenderness went away
✨ I slept better
✨ My cycle settled (not as heavy)

Over time, we’ve also added testosterone (hello, libido — I missed you!) and vaginal estrogen.

I’m so grateful to have a provider who listens, answers all of my questions, and makes me feel fully supported. I’ve referred MANY women to her, and every time I hear the same thing: “Thank you, I love her!”

Here’s a little about me - I am first an foremost a wife, mom to 3 wonderful kids, an entrepreneur and on a a mission to make a difference.

I feel a calling to play out bigger - to play out my vision of a 500 year legacy. I want what I do in this lifetime to still have an impact in this world at LEAST 500 years from now. I don’t need for people to know my name. I just need to know that I made a difference.

Living and Learning Out loud is me showing up perfectly imperfect. Vulnerable. Taking what I’m learning and bringing it to you. In the hopes that we can learn and grow together.
