Perfection isn’t the goal—progress is. Instead of stressing about doing it all, focus on doing something. A short walk, a balanced meal, a solid workout—it all adds up.

Guess what? There is no secret diet out there. But the secret that people who are trying to sell you on their diet aren't telling you is that the reason you may lose weight is because you're in a caloric deficit, not because of anything special in the formulation of foods or food groups.

So, the next time you think, "Will this diet work for me?" I want you to ask yourself these questions:

1. Will I enjoy eating that way?
2. Will I be able to sustain eating that way?

If you answer yes to both questions, then it will work for you.

I've been thinking about something for a while now.....

How can I help more women break out of a diet mindset and learn how to manage their weight once and for all more simply and sustainably.
Also, how can I make it affordable? I know that both coaching and personal training can be expensive. I have personally felt priced out of programs over the years.

Since I’ve been in a deficit (meaning I’m eating below maintenance calories in order to lose weight) I have been very cognizant of my food choices?
Why?
1. My goal is important to me.
2. I want to maximize the amount and quality of food that I eat so I can eat as much as possible.

Below is my breakfast from this morning. It consisted of:
2 whole eggs and one egg white, 2 pieces of toast, to slices of ham, a bowl of cherries and coffee with milk.

This meal was 440 calories and 39g of protein.

I wanted to compare my breakfast to a common breakfast on the go.

The to-go breakfast is a Tim Horton’s bagel with cream cheese and a coffee with cream. (Swipe to see image)
This meal is 452 calories and 12 grams of fat.

What meal do you think is more filling?
What meal do you think will allow you to go longer in between meals without needing to eat?
Which meal do you think will fuel my body best?
Which meal do you think will energize me more?

Most people will not be satiated by the Tim Horton’s breakfast likely resulting in them needing to eat again in a shorter period of time and therefore increasing your caloric intake for the day.

There is nothing wrong with eating the Tim’s breakfast. That breakfast can fit in your fat loss plan, but it may just leave you feeling hungry and unsatisfied.

I've got something exciting brewing for the month of June, and I want you all to be a part of it. Are you ready to kickstart your summer with a fun and fabulous wellness challenge?

For 30 days, we'll be focusing on three simple habits that can make a huge difference in how we feel: prioritizing protein,walking for at least 30 minutes a day, and making sure we get some fruits or veggies at every meal. Easy peasy, right?

Here’s a little about me - I am first an foremost a wife, mom to 3 wonderful kids, an entrepreneur and on a a mission to make a difference.

I feel a calling to play out bigger - to play out my vision of a 500 year legacy. I want what I do in this lifetime to still have an impact in this world at LEAST 500 years from now. I don’t need for people to know my name. I just need to know that I made a difference.

Living and Learning Out loud is me showing up perfectly imperfect. Vulnerable. Taking what I’m learning and bringing it to you. In the hopes that we can learn and grow together.
