Hi everybody! With Spring finally here I think it's time I clean out a few topics of discussion. 2026 marks 4 years of The Sit Down Stand Out Show. This year has admittedly been a tough one being ill multiple times, needing computer repairs, nearly losing our website domain, feeling stuck in my apartment all winter, but guess what? We are still bleeping standing. I admit that I've been struggling with finding guests and feeling excited about getting back into a weekly episodic groove but I still love helping members of the disability community stand out from the rest and I'm telling you all this because only through authenticity can real change be made. We don't have any new episodes available at the moment but we'd like to ask you a few important questions whether you've been on our show or not.

1. What do we mean to you?
2. How can we improve our shows?
3. Want to work with us?
4. Favourite guest so far?
5. Other things you'd like to see from us?

Thanks to everyone who's followed on our journey so far and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

Until next keep calm and roll on.

Author Malcolm Gladwell wrote in his book Outliers: The Story of Success that in order to master any field you need roughly 10000 hours of practice. I'm not sure how accurate that number is but, Im going to throw out some numbers of my own 4 years, of The Sit Down Stand Out Show podcast, 160 original episodes, 1,439 Backstage Applications for various projects, 63 Audiobook auditions, some of you might read this and say wow why do you keep going?, or you must not be very good at what you do to that I say your not looking at the numbers properly yeah I haven't gotten a lot of roles but I've gotten lots of learning experiences. Yes not getting the role or job offer you want sucks but you'll learn more about your craft and yourself from 100 fails versus 10 success so keep doing what you love because you never know what opportunities will come around until next time keep calm and roll on.

March 1 is an important day for me for 2 reasons one it’s my dad’s birthday happy 68th dad. March 1 is recognized as international wheelchair day so to anyone who’s ever taken the time to build, register for or helped members of the disablty community get a wheelchair thank you. To any parents when you’re kids ask disabled people questions please let them ask away as that’s how they learn. I also think it’s important that we teach you people just how important our wheelchairs are as I remember when I was younger everyone who saw my wheelchair thought of it more as a cool toy versus a important tool. To anyone still trying to get a wheelchair please don’t give up hope you are loved and valued even if it doesn’t always feel that way until next time keep calm and roll on,
