If your business isn’t being found, try this.

Most people do want to support you but they just don’t have the time to dig through five different pages to figure out what you offer. Here’s one simple thing you can fix today:

👉 Add your main service + your city to your Instagram and Facebook bios. Examples:
“Registered Massage Therapist • Mission BC”
“Custom Cakes • Delivered in Mission & Abbotsford”
“Handyman • Bathrooms & Small Reno Specialist — Mission”

People search Instagram and Facebook the same way they may search Google. If your bio doesn’t say what you do and where you are, you’re basically invisible. This one tiny tweak helps:
✔️ Locals find you faster
✔️ Your posts reach the right people
✔️ People instantly know what you’re about
✔️ Your page looks cleaner and more professional

If you want more small, easy fixes like this, let me know. I love helping local businesses clean up their footprint.

Something I’ve noticed over the years is that whenever diabetes comes up in conversation, most people immediately think it’s about sugar, needles, or avoiding certain foods, and that’s usually where the understanding stops. But every time I’ve spoken with someone who actually lives with diabetes, they always end up saying a version of the same thing: they just wish people understood what it actually looks like day to day.

And that part, the real life part — is what most of us never see. For so many people, diabetes isn’t a dramatic storyline; it’s a series of small, constant adjustments woven into their routine. It’s planning meals a little differently without making a big deal of it. It’s checking labels automatically because it becomes second nature. It’s keeping snacks nearby, not out of restriction, but because their body might suddenly need them. It’s understanding how stress, sleep, timing, exercise, or even a random change in schedule can shift things, and learning how to manage those shifts without interrupting the rest of life.

They use tools that help, but none of those tools replace the awareness and mental effort they’re putting in throughout the day. And through all of this, they’re still doing everything everyone else does — working, raising kids, running errands, showing up to life, while carrying an invisible layer of responsibility that most people around them never notice.

That’s really what World Diabetes Day is meant to highlight. Not sadness or sympathy.

If diabetes is part of your life, or part of someone you care about, today is simply a moment to say, “I see you, and I understand a little more now.”

Derek came to me the way many tradespeople do — practical, direct, and already stretched thin from running a business that relies on his hands more than his laptop. He wasn’t looking for inspiration or a motivational push. He just wanted real clarity. The kind that cuts through noise and tells you what actually matters. He told me right at the start, almost apologetically, “I don’t want fluff. Just tell me what I need to fix.” And I loved that. It made our conversation so much easier, because underneath his straightforward tone was someone who genuinely wanted to grow but had never been given the language or structure to talk about his work in a way that matched the quality of what he does. As we unraveled things, it became obvious that he wasn’t missing skill. He wasn’t even missing demand. He was missing recognition.. from himself.

Tradespeople rarely stop to see how much trust they naturally create with clients. They assume reliability, craftsmanship, and safety are “just normal,” because that’s how they were taught to work. But those are exactly the things people look for when hiring someone.

Once I started reflecting that back to him, something shifted — not in a dramatic “aha moment,” but in a grounded way. Almost like tightening a bolt that had been loose for years. Suddenly the whole structure made sense. We simplified everything. His message and the services he wanted to highlight. And instead of turning him into someone he isn’t, we built a version of his business that finally sounded like him — only stronger and more confident.

Derek didn’t walk away with a script or a fancy marketing plan. He walked away knowing exactly what to say, who to say it to, and why it works. And for him, that was the relief he didn’t realize he needed.

That’s the part of this work I love most — helping good people see their own value in a way they can finally stand behind.

Most people wake up feeling unworthy. They wake up feeling already behind. Behind on bills, behind on sleep, behind on life. So, if you need a reminder today. Say it with me, even in your head...

I AM worthy of love, success, and happiness, right now. NOT when everything is finally “fixed" and not when you hustle harder or when you earn it.

Your existence is already evidence. In case no one told you lately: your softness is not weakness. The world is better when you believe in yourself again.

Take what you need from this, leave the rest.

Today we remember those who never came home, and those who came home changed forever.

Thank you to every soul who served, protected, and carried a weight most of us will never understand.

We honour you and remember you. Lest we forget. ❤️🌺

Happy Monday 💛

New week ≠ overwhelm.
New week = fresh clarity.

Most people waste the first 2 hours of Monday in panic, distraction, or rushing into everything. However only one intentional decision you make this morning can shift your entire week.

What is one small, direction-setting decision you’re making today?

Tell me below 👇

Let’s start this week lighter and more intentional.

There’s a woman on 1st Ave who opens her little shop before most people in Mission are even awake. She unlocks the door, turns on the lights, flips the sign to OPEN and begins her day — even on the mornings she quietly wonders how she’s going to cover everything this month.

She knows her regulars by name. She notices when someone seems tired or off. She remembers the conversation from last week about someone’s mom being in the hospital and asks how she’s doing now.

What people don’t see are the unseen hours — sourcing locally, checking stock, finishing orders by hand, fixing product displays, rewriting labels late at night because suddenly the font didn’t feel right. They don’t see the doubt that comes in waves, but they do see her open the door again the next day.

One day, a woman walked in, looked around for a moment and said: “It just feels good in here. I don’t even know what I’m buying yet, but I’m glad I stopped in.” That one moment made the entire week worth it.

That is small business in Mission, BC. Not perfect marketing or chasing virality. Just real people choosing each other... one interaction at a time.

Most marketing advice online is generic.

Here’s an example of what happens when we actually sit down with a real business and break it apart properly. This is a small preview of a report from a Clarity Session this week. (Every client gets one after their session.)

This client came in feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure which direction to take next. After 60 minutes together, we uncovered the bottleneck, mapped the opportunity, and created a direction that finally made sense for their business. No guessing, trend-chasing or forcing anything.

If you’ve been quietly spinning in circles inside your business…a clarity session may be exactly what you need before you spend another dollar or another week unsure of where you’re going next.

Comment “clarity” and I’ll send you details privately.
