An article about our 20th anniversary in 2018, our last issue came out in September 2019:

Three publishers, three editors and 137 issues later, GoodLife Magazine has featured over 500 local and international personalities, over 400 travel destinations, over 300 fashion stories, over 200 home features and well over 100 culinary, health and beauty experts.

The journey began in July, 1999 when GoodLife Magazine launched its premiere issue in a weekend edition of The Mississauga News. It was 24 pages and printed as a monthly tabloid on upgraded newsprint. Its goal was to celebrate the art of fine living in and around Mississauga and the people who proudly call it their home.

The magazine received outstanding support from the community and local businesses. Since then, GoodLife has undergone many facelifts. and even expanded its distribution to include Oakville from 2000-2009. Once again, it was the confidence and support from readers and advertisers that helped make this possible.

In 2010, the publication made its largest step, becoming an extra-wide full glossy elegant lifestyle magazine, with its pages on the pulse of Missisauga’s hottest lifestyle trends, from food and fashion to home decor, travel and popular entertainment personalities.

Features writer Laurie Wallace-Lynch, who has interviewed many of the personalties you see on these pages, shares one of her fondest interview memories.

“Several years ago I got the opportunity to do a phone interview with Jane Fonda who was coming to Mississauga as the guest of honour at a fundraising event for Interim Place. At the event I was lucky enough to be seated next to her! I had brought along her book “My Life So Far” with hopes that Ms. Fonda would sign it. She saw the book sitting on the table, flipped it open, and noticed I had made numerous notes throughout the book. She said, “Wow, you actually read the entire book before our interview? She then proceeded to ask ME questions about what I felt about various stories she had shared in her book. She was engaging, delightful, warm and yes, stunningly beautiful inside and out.”

Fast forward to 2018 and GoodLife continues to be Mississauga’s only luxury lifestyle magazine, providing readers with a place to dream, to realise their dreams and share in the good life.

It continues to feature the hottest trends in fashion, beauty, and home design, as well as local and global artists, celebrities and chefs.

Hazel McCallion was featured several times in our magazine and she was kind enough to share aspects of her personal life with the readers of Mississauga including and amazing garden tour. Our first publisher (for many years) the late Ron Lenyk was a closer friend of the Mississauga longest running Mayor and before Jake Dheer became the city's fave emcee for all events it was the larger than life character of Ron Lenyk who no only served on many boards with Hazel but also emceed all events and was often her personal chauffer!

Regardless, surely so many of you have personal stories to share about our former mayor as she was a most approachable city leader.
