Comment HACKS for 25% off code + links 👇

After 100+ flights with kids, I’ve figured out what actually makes travel easier, and these are 7 hacks that every parent travelling with kids should know about.

✨ First, is our favourite Boppo - the coolest screen-free tablet packed with 70+ games, learning activities, audiobooks, podcasts, music, sensory tactile experiences, and interactive Toppos with even more themed content including the two NEW Toppos - Realm of Wonder (unicorns, dragons, knights, princesses) and Dinos 🦕.

✈️ It’s great for ALL ages and fun for the whole family. It’s pretty much replaced every other screen-free device we used to travel with. My kids, ages 5 and 7, use it on planes, trains, in cars and at restaurants.

🚨 Boppo’s big Bundle sale is LIVE right now til August 12th - it’s 15% off bundles AND my discount code stacks on top of that, for 25% off total!!

Comment TORONTO for the scratch-off cards 🇨🇦

My friend Jess from Guess Where Trips® | Surprise One-Day Road Trips 🇺🇸🇨🇦 and I are both Toronto moms with 4 little kids, who also know how hard it can be to get out of the house. We also know how much MENTAL LOAD planning weekend activities with kids can be!!

👉 We wanted to make it simple for families to discover kid-friendly activities in Toronto and the GTA they might never have thought to try, and stop googling “things to do in Toronto with kids” but still end up at the same park every time.

That’s exactly why, after 6 months of nonstop work, we created PLAY DAY PASSPORT: Toronto Edition - a deck of 50 scratch-off cards featuring hand-picked itineraries the whole family will love!! 🎉

Less time planning , more time with your kids.

WHAT’S INSIDE:
🎡 50 kid-friendly scratch-off cards, with a featured spot + 3-4 bonus stops nearby, and kid-friendly eats and tips
🏛️ Done for you family day trips across Toronto & the GTA

🎨 Hand-picked by 2 Toronto moms with real kids

HOW IT WORKS:
Scratch a card. Scan the QR code. Each card features one main stop and 3-4 bonus stops nearby, including kid-friendly eats and tips. Go have your fun day. That’s it!

Comment QUEBEC for the full guide! 🌲

AD | Tourisme Cantons-de-l'Est If you want an underrated family road trip in Quebec, this is it!! The Eastern Townships are about an hour from Montreal and right on the Vermont border. On paper it’s cheese farms and lake towns, but it completely surprised us. Here’s how we did 4 nights 👇

⛏️ ONE OF THE OLDEST MINES IN CANADA
We went deep underground into Mine Capelton and heard wild stories about the miners who dug it out by candlelight over 150 years ago.

🛖 WHERE WE STAYED
Le Vertendre a forest estate of one-of-a-kind Zoobox cabins with pull-down beds, twinkle stars, climbing walls, popcorn machines, and (in some) a human-sized hamster wheel. We kayaked the lakes and roasted s’mores by the fire.

🥪 THE FOOD
Best grilled cheese and sandwiches at LA Station Eastman, divine French toast at Bowen, award-winning cheese in Racine, a mango soft serve at Laiterie De Coaticook Ltee and a standout dinner at Bistro Kóz (that fattoush, oh my).

🛷 THE BOMBARDIER MUSEUM
MuseeBombardier tells the story of the man who invented the snowmobile and built a global empire: his original garage, vintage machines, and a flight simulator the kids got to fly.

🎣 ACOATICA
A giant interactive game at Parc Découverte Nature where you actually fish, cook your catch, and race through video games and a wild outdoor playground for points.

🌉 THE GORGE
Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook has the longest suspension footbridge in North America, right over a massive river gorge, with dreamy forest boardwalk trails all around.

comment PACK for links!

reposting this from last summer because I’m packing up for another BIG travel adventure and working on building a capsule wardrobe.

🧢 TRAVEL CAPSULE WARDROBE
This is everything I packed for 6 weeks in Europe last summer … carryon only! And it all fit into a single packing cube 🤯

✈️ MY PACKING LIST:
- 3 ribbed built-in bra tanks
- 2 Uniqlo AIRism built in-bra tanks
- 2 ribbed tees
- 3 flowy skorts
- 1 linen blend shorts
- 1 white maxi skirt
- 2 pants: Levi’s jeans and Lululemon leggings
- 2 sweaters - black cardigan and quarter zip terry sweatshirt
- 2 button downs
- white Reebok sneakers
- Crocs back strap sandals
- gold buckle belt
- fave cross-body bag Roncy Packs

*I also brought my Birkenstocks because I wasn’t sure if the Crocs would give me blisters, but they didn’t! So I didn’t need the Birks.

I also had a rain jacket for London and Amsterdam weather + a swimsuit

LAUNDRY 🧺
Yes! Of course we did laundry frequently. We used the hotel service in a couple places where it was reasonable 💸 and all others were at Airbnbs where we had a washer/dryer. We did laundry every few days, but more when the kids went to nature camp in Amsterdam and got filthy!

Comment PACK for links to everything ❤️

comment TRAVEL for link to inflatable booster seat

🚗 we’ve been LOVING this inflatable booster seat for over a year now when travelling with my eldest son (almost 8 years old). It’s an amazing travel solution for older kids who are in the booster seat stage

✨ PERFECT FOR TRAVEL
This portable car seat inflates with only a few breaths (takes less than 10 seconds), and installs easily and quickly. Deflates and rolls up tightly in its own travel bag for a compact fit in your carry-on, large purse or backpack. It’s perfect for travel days, rental cars, taxis, or rideshares!

🚕 It also has a non-skid base to prevent sliding, extra-thick padding for comfort on longer rides, and comes with a belt/clip adjuster to make sure the seat belt is properly positioned.

✋ Crash Tested and Safety Certified. Meets or exceeds US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 213).

🇺🇸 Only available for purchase in the US.

‼️ IMPORTANT
I’m not a certified child passenger safety technician. This is what works for MY family, but always do your own research to ensure it’s right for yours.

🚗 AGE RECOMMENDATION: This is NOT a car seat and should not be used with children who still require a 5-point harness. It’s designed for kids who are old enough and big enough (height + weight) to ride in a booster seat. Follow US Federal Guidelines for booster seats, which is typically ages 4-11 (40-110 lbs).

Toronto’s best kept family secret 🤫

They open at 2 PM, kids are welcome until 8 PM, and it’s $10 per person for unlimited play. That’s your entire after-camp afternoon covered, in air conditioning, for less than two ice creams. If this heat wave is ruining your plans, this is the answer.

It’s Toronto’s biggest retro arcade bar, with 90+ games all set to free play. Pay at the door and that’s it. No tokens, no top ups, no cards to reload.

Before you go:

1. Kids are allowed until 8 PM with a parent, then it becomes 19+ only. On a weekday afternoon you’ll practically have the place to yourselves

2. One adult can bring up to 3 kids, so it works for a camp friends crew too

3. Bring CASH for the entrance fee

4. It’s all the games we grew up on: Pac-Man, pinball, air hockey. Prepare to hear “you’re actually good at something??” from your kids

Save this for your list of things to do in Toronto with kids - it’s one of the best cheap indoor activities in the city, whether it’s a heat wave, a rainy day or just a random Tuesday.
