Comment SAUGA for our family’s fave spots!

⚽️ The soccer craziness has officially started and the whole world is watching Toronto this summer.

So we leaned all the way in and did a sporty family staycation right next door with Visit Mississauga, which honestly has the BEST stuff to do with kids.

🏨 STAY
We based ourselves at Sheraton Gateway Hotel in YYZ and their Wild Wonders Family Suite is a whole setup for kids, with a little tent, toys, and books, so mine LOVED it the second we walked in. They’ve also got a kids playroom, a pool, and rooms facing the runway for the plane-obsessed crowd. The best part is the UP Express | 📷 train (by Metrolinx) runs straight from the hotel to downtown Toronto in just 28 minutes, so you can skip the parking and traffic and just hop on.

🎽 GEAR UP
Start by getting the whole crew matching jerseys at Team Town Sports so you can cheer for your favourite team in style.

⚽ PLAY
Then hit Sauga’s high-energy spots for kids. Challenge your friends to a glow-in-the-dark soccer game at SOCCER GLOW KINGDOM, race around the outdoor go-karting course at 🇨🇦Mississauga Mini Indy🏁, and run wild at FUNDAY! Indoor Playground, a Toronto-themed indoor playground complete with the Skydome and CN Tower.

🍔 EAT
Grab a bite and cheer with the fans at Canadian Brewhouse Ontario, where there’s a cold one for the grown-ups and screens at every angle, or watch the game while the kids loose in the massive arcade at GameTime Mississauga.

🌳 EXPLORE
Then take it outside to regroup at Rattray Marsh, a gorgeous boardwalk trail through the marsh that leads right to a secret beach, before popping into Adamson Estate, a historic home with a cute interactive sports exhibit.

Comment SUMMER and I’ll send you all of our family’s favourite spots in Mississauga!

HUGE NEWS!!!

This September we’re pulling our kids out of school to move to Montenegro for 3 months. 🇲🇪 And no, we’re not quitting our jobs or homeschooling.

We’re joining an incredible worldschooling program called Boundless Life. It’s so cool - the kids will go to school, we’ll keep working at a cowering space, have accommodations sorted, a built in community of families … and instead of racing through a country in a week we actually LIVE in it for 3 whole months!

😮‍💨 Last summer we spent 6 weeks in Europe and it was amazing... but completely exhausting. In and out of hotels every 2 nights, always packing, and trying to work from a new city every few days felt impossible.

We’ve done random camps in Europe here and there too and loved them, but this is different. We’ll have ONE home base for 3 months and can unpack, the kids can settle in and make friends, and we can actually work.

🏡 I’ve always wanted to do something like this, but the logistics terrified me. The apartment, the kids’ school, a place to work, making friends in a brand new country... it seemed impossible to pull off. But the Boundless Life program has every piece figured out for us before we even land!

The kids will attend education center in Kotor, Montenegro while my husband and I work from a coworking hub down the street, surrounded by other families doing the exact same thing. They’ll have daily field trips, after school activities and cultural immersion & on the weekends we’ll join other families in the program on hikes, tours and adventures around Montenegro!

They run 3-month cohorts during the school year (what we’re doing) as well as shorter 3 or 4 week summer camps if you want a taste first.

After 100+ flights with our kids, this is still the biggest leap we’ve taken. I’m equal parts thrilled and terrified … and can’;t wait for you all to follow along in September! 🌍

👇 Comment BOUNDLESS and I’ll send you everything about the program, plus my link for €400 off any of their programs. And let me know what questions you have, I’ll be sharing LOTS more info soon.

Québec with Kids Roadtrip 👌🇨🇦

We just got back from a 12 day road trip through Quebec with our kids, and I truly cannot believe how many unique, cool, fun and amazing experiences we had!

THIS is the road trip every family should do this summer Bonjour Québec Destination Québec cité Tourisme Outaouais Tourisme Cantons-de-l'Est

2️⃣ Ate dinner inside a real bear den surrounded by arctic foxes Restaurant OmegaBon

3️⃣ Slept in a hotel in the woods with a rock climbing wall, bed suspended from the ceiling, and a life-size hamster wheel Le Vertendre

4️⃣ Listened to First Nations storytelling inside a traditional Wendat longhouse Tourisme Wendake

5️⃣ Piloted a real flight simulator at the birthplace of the Ski-Doo, where we saw the original garage packed with vintage snowmobiles and the very first prototype Bombardier built as a teen MuseeBombardier

Comment PORTUGAL for my guides 🇵🇹

We’ve been to Portugal 4 times now with our two littles kids! From North to South, we think it’s one of the most kid-friendly countries in the world. Here are 5 experiences you can’t miss 👇

1️⃣ Portugal dos Pequenitos - is a MUST DO with kids! Located in Coimbra (about halfway between Lisbon and Porto) 🎠 This magical park features miniature replicas of famous Portuguese monuments, villages, and landmarks, all scaled down to kid-friendly proportions. From charming castles to colorful houses, it’s a magical journey through Portugal’s history and culture, perfect for little explorers. Established in 1940, it holds historical significance as it was created as part of the Portuguese World Exhibition to showcase the country’s culture and heritage.

2️⃣ Railroad Caffe in Lisbon - Your kids are going to flip at this cafe. Mini electric trains zoom around delivering coffee, ice cream sundaes, and burgers right to your table while you eat. It’s SO fun! And there’s also a train table for your kids to play with at the back.

3️⃣ Grutas de Mira de Aire - These caves are absolutely breathtaking, one of the largest cave complexes in Portugal, spanning over 11 kilometers in length!⁣⁣ It truly is like stepping into another world 👽 located in the small town of Mira de Aire, which is approximately 1.5 hours away from Lisbon and 2 hours away from Porto. It’s a perfect halfway point stop if you’re travelling between the two cities.

4️⃣ Mosaic Workshop in Lisbon with Eileen at . My son was 5 years old when we did this and it turned out to be such a highlight of our trip! We had a BLAST and the little mosaic fish we made is now an ornament on our Christmas Tree. Such a unique experience and perfect souvenir.

5️⃣ Zodiac Boat Tour in Sagres - with to see dolphins, caves, and insane cliff views! The RIB boat itself is so much fun and a totally wild ride. The kids were laughing and screaming the whole time (until my 3 year old fell asleep and took a nap haha)

SAVE these tips for later✨

Here’s a roundup of essential Disneyland tips!

STAY AT A DISNEYLAND HOTEL 🏨
The biggest perk to staying at an official Disneyland hotel vs. a “Good Neighbor” hotel is EARLY ENTRY! You can access the park 30 mins earlier than everyone else. Doesn’t seem like much, but trust me it is! We were able to do almost all of the Fantasyland rides during that time 🎠

PURCHASE GENIE+ 🧞
If you only do ONE thing, it’s this! Genie+ is an optional add-on you can purchase with your tickets for $30/person per day that gives you access to Lightning Lane (aka express) entrances. These let you skip regular standby lines at popular attractions, where waits can be 60-120 mins 😱 vs. 5-10 minutes at Lightning Lanes

USE A DISNEY EXPERT ✨
I’ll never stop talking about how amazing our experience was with and her team at . Her Disneyland Guide is ESSENTIAL and her concierge services are worth every.single.penny. They can do EVERYTHING for you - from personalized itineraries to day-of texting! 👏

A STROLLER IS ESSENTIAL 😅
Even if your kiddo is 5+ years old, the parks are HUGE and you will end up walking 10,000 steps per day 🚶‍♀️

And if you have a toddler that wants to be picked up/ put down, save your arms + back and bring a toddler carrier to use in line. We LOVED the sling - it’s super small, but suuuuper helpful. Order on Amazon with code 10MINIJETSET for 10% off until 01/12/2024 🛒

USE RIDER SWITCH 🤱
If travelling with a younger sibling, Rider Switch is AMAZING! This allows one adult to take the older child on a ride while the other stays back with the baby/toddler. Then the adults “switch” and the older child gets to ride again with the other adult without waiting in line again! 🎢

BONUS TIPS ✨

📱Bring a portable phone charger. Your phone WILL die from using the Disneyland app and taking all the photos/videos

🍴 Make dining reservations EARLY - They open up 60 days in advance

🪀 Pack a busy bag of toys. Even with Lightning Lanes, there are a lot of moments little ones will need to wait or need distracting. Check my Disney Busy Backpack reel or Amazon Storefront for ideas!
