Psalm 52:9 — For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good

Love this urdu geet so much -> Humd Teri Yahowa

Lyrics:

1. Humd teri Yahowah gatay hain hum sab
(We all sing Your praises, Yahweh)

Tu hi sar buland hai Yahowah
(You alone are exalted, Yahweh)

Humd teri Yahowah
(Praise belongs to You, Yahweh)

2. Tu ne hum ko apna banaya
(You have made us Your own)

Baray ke khun se pak thair aya
(Through the Lamb’s blood, You have made us clean)

Humd teri Yahowah
(Praise belongs to You, Yahweh)

3. Hum jo gunaah mein phansay huay thay
(We who were trapped in sin)

Betay ki maut se raast thair aya
(Through the death of Your Son, You made us righteous)

Humd teri Yahowah
(Praise belongs to You, Yahweh)

Grateful for the opportunity to teach multiple Communion classes to a variety of young people eager to learn and take this step of faith! ✝️

We looked at the first Passover (Exodus 12) and how it points us to Jesus, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29).

We also learned that when we take communion, we:

Look Back — Remember Jesus’ sacrifice (Luke 22:19)

Look Within — Examine our hearts (1 Corinthians 11:28)

Look Around — Remember we are one body (1 Corinthians 10:17)

Look Ahead — Remember that Jesus is coming again (1 Corinthians 11:26)

A powerful reminder of what Jesus has done for us.

Recap of Sunday's Junior Youth class based on the story of Gideon from Judges 6-7 where we looked at a simple truth:

God does not wait for us to feel strong before He uses us.

Gideon was hiding when God called him a “mighty warrior.” He saw weakness in himself, but God saw what he could become through faith and obedience.

What we learned:

• God sees more in us than we often see in ourselves.
• Feeling afraid does not mean we cannot be courageous.
• Our greatest strength is not our ability, but God’s presence.
• Sometimes God allows us to have less so we learn to trust Him more.
• Small does not mean useless. God has always worked through ordinary people in extraordinary ways.

Gideon went from hiding in fear to leading 300 men into battle, not because he suddenly became fearless, but because he learned to trust the God who said:

“I will be with you.” —Judges 6:15–16

This week’s challenge: when you catch yourself saying, “I can’t,” remember Gideon and ask instead:

“What could God do if I trusted Him?”

📖 Read the full story: Judges 6–7

Key passages:
Judges 6:11–12 — Gideon is called a mighty warrior
Judges 6:15–16 — “I am the least…” / “I will be with you”
Judges 7:2–7 — God reduces the army to 300
Judges 7:19–22 — Gideon’s army enters the battle

I'm excited to share this update - so many testimonies surrounding the creation of this passion project - which will be shared in due time

Over the coming weeks, you'll see more and more content related to this

I'm excited, nervous, but overall hopeful that this will be another vehicle to bring God's word to many!

Finished the Book of James!

As we close this month, take a moment to thank God for His faithfulness. James reminds us that following Jesus is more than gaining knowledge

It's allowing His Word to transform the way we live, speak, love, endure, and trust Him.

Pause and look back. Where have you grown? Where has God challenged you? What truth has stayed with you the most?

Don't let these mini readings be end of the journey. Let it be the beginning of a life that continues to pursue wisdom, live out genuine faith, and reflect Christ in everyday moments.

"But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves." —James 1:22
