In this video, we're showing you how to level up your woodworking with our Empire Goods Small Finger Stitch Router Template. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use this tool:
Preparation: Gather all the necessary materials. This includes your Small Finger Stitch Router Template from Jeff Mack Supply , a router with the appropriate bit, double-sided tape, and your chosen material.
Securing the Template: Place double-sided tape on the back of the acrylic template. This will help secure the template to your material and prevent any unwanted movement during the routing process.
Removing Excess Material: Use the band saw to remove excess material before you start working on it with the router. We normally try to leave 1/8" of material beyond the shape/size of the template
Routing: Position your router at the start of the template design. Make sure the bit aligns with the edges of the template design. Start the router and carefully follow the template pattern. Remember to always move the router against the direction of the router bit's rotation for safety and control.
Cleaning Up: Once you've completed the routing, turn off the router and allow the bit to stop spinning before lifting it off your workpiece. Remove the acrylic template and clean up any debris.
Finishing Touches: Sand any rough edges and apply any desired finish to your project.
Remember, woodworking is a skill that takes time and practice to master. Don't get discouraged if your first few attempts don't turn out as expected. Keep trying and happy woodworking!
