Posted • Politicians keep calling for more criminalization. But that's been their "solution" for 50+ years. Why are we doubling down on something that's a proven failure?

Every 31 seconds, someone is arrested for a drug offense, with over 85% of those for possession alone. Arrests continue the cycle of incarceration and leave individuals with criminal records that hinder their access to jobs, housing, and services.

Politicians need to shift their approach away from arrests and towards addiction services and social supports.
