๐‡๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐๐š๐ฒ! Itโ€™s been a while since I last posted here, but the heart behind Resilient Routes hasnโ€™t changed โ€” only grown stronger.

Over the past year, I embarked on a new road as a ๐ฌ๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ, learning more about advocacy, resilience, and the power of empathy. Now, Iโ€™m just a couple of months away from ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐๐ฎ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, and I couldnโ€™t be more excited to continue this journey โ€” advocating for recovery, breaking stigma, and fostering compassionate change.

As Resilient Routes continues, I want this space to remain a safe harbor โ€” a community that embraces empathy, encourages healing, and believes that change is possible. ๐ŸŒฟ

Bereaved Motherโ€™s Day.

A difficult day leading up to an even more difficult day next Sunday.

We see you and understand the anguish you feel.

The Higgs government will not push forward this spring with controversial legislation that would have given provincial authorities the power to force a person with severe addiction into treatment.

Posted โ€ข Politicians keep calling for more criminalization. But that's been their "solution" for 50+ years. Why are we doubling down on something that's a proven failure?

Every 31 seconds, someone is arrested for a drug offense, with over 85% of those for possession alone. Arrests continue the cycle of incarceration and leave individuals with criminal records that hinder their access to jobs, housing, and services.

Politicians need to shift their approach away from arrests and towards addiction services and social supports.
