Today's event shows why I play music.
I walked a couple of kilometres to a local indoor market, playing pan flute along the way. This is not unusual, I walk like this most days. Eventually, I reached Jean Talon Market. As I slowly moved through the market, playing bouncy musical phrases, I focused my attention on small children, their parents, and the very old.
One old woman caught my attention; she was surrounded by what seemed to be friends and relatives. Yet, she looked like she was lonely and waiting to be released from her life. I focused my attention on her, and when she realized it, it was clear that she surprised herself with her reaction. I fed her with pure energy in the form of music. Everyone with her felt it. There were tears. All within 20 seconds.
They emptied their wallets. I said this was not necessary, I play because I have money, not because I need it. They insisted. I accepted their gratitude.
This is why I play music: I am a musical shaman. I can make receptive people feel what they are missing in their lives, without words, without touching them. I channel energy in the form of music.
