A few days ago I was walking about and playing pan flute, as I do most days of the year. I stopped at a restaurant where I often get falafel pita to go. The owner was telling me how crazy the world had become.

"I am a drop of water in the desert," I said. "I play for harmony, peace and joy."

"Inshallah," he replied.

I will name the song I was playing that day "A Drop of Water in the Desert."

Ableton's initial foray into using AI for music in a commercial product was to partner and not build something using technology that they were new to themselves. They did the same with their first DAW-in-a-box (Push 3 Standalone). Later, they gained enough experience to bring it in-house. I wonder what that might mean in the future for Ableton users of these AI features.
