TO GOVERNMENTAUTHORITIES: - The acquittal in Maiâs case highlights cracks in our justice system. Insufficient evidence shouldnât mean silenced survivors. Reform the legal processâtrain police to handle sexual assault cases with care, ensure forensic evidence is preserved, and protect victims from retraumatization. Fund support services and create stricter laws to deter predators. Justice must serve survivors, not shield.
