Hi folks! (English to follow)

I'm searching for a few locations for a short film by Paul Lazar, shooting September 15th to 19th. Reference photos are attached! Ideally, we are looking for a space or spaces that can double as multiple locations.

1.) Open plan studio (balcony access, large windows, old)

2.) Indoor spiral staircase that ascends many floors (residential building preferred)

3.) Long hallway with doors on either side (think Bates motel style, poorly lit, or with light sources that can be easily covered)

4.) Bedroom with a view of downtown Montreal (Spacious, with the possibility of us using a smoke machine)

5.) Bathroom with high ceilings (old/weathered, with interesting textures on the walls/surfaces, spacious)

For more information, or if you have a space that fits these descriptions, please DM or send an email to: [email protected]

I'm re-posting this call out with different wording. I'd like to say a huge thank you to Sehar Manji for taking the time to offer some very generous feedback that opened me up to how I got it wrong the first time. So, please take a look below!

Hi folks! I'm looking to build up a database of female/femme/q***r/poc/enby/neurodivergent/disabled/non-cis-het-male filmmakers in all departments.

I am a white, able-bodied woman, as well as a q***r, sometimes femme, sometimes non-binary identifying person. I'm writing this post because I've been asked more and more to produce and/or 1st AD productions, and I sincerely want to be able to recommend and hire more diverse folks, and find that the pool of filmmakers I know is very very small. I'm tired of seeing male dominated productions default to 'well, we couldn't find anyone else'.

My sincere goal is to elevate underrepresented voices, because I'm tired of seeing the myth of 'there's no one else' perpetuated over and over again.

If your, or someone you know is interested, please reach out with your information via private message or email to [email protected]

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.
