Our 2025 Wrapped is here!
In some ways this year felt slow but it has truly been a year of building new foundations, honing our craft, and planning for the years that are coming.
I'm so thankful for everyone who has kept this ship steering smoothly, albeit through choppy waters. Pamela, Ainsley, Jane, and our amazing team at The Order of the Written Word. I couldn't have made it without you all!
While we may have been doing less in some ways, I can really see the progress of our work and I'm so proud of what we're putting out into the world.
Thank you to everyone who follows and supports us!
We've got plenty of plans for 2026 and Stygian is only going to get bigger and better.

Montréal has always been shaped by its writers. From quiet cafés to old neighbourhood streets, the city’s stories live in the voices that wrote here. Our new blog looks at the authors, bookshops and ideas that helped form Montréal’s literary character. Pour yourself a coffee and take a look!

Montréal is a city of contrasts. Stone churches cast shadows over modern galleries. The voices of poets echo in both French and English. From the storied streets of Mile End to the quiet study halls of McGill, Montréal’s literary history is as complex and compelling as the city itself.
