ImagineNATIVE is hosting a "Tripgore Retrospective: A Tribute to Jeff Barnaby" on October 22nd at the TIFF Lightbox.

They'll be screening Blood Quantum, Rhymes for Young Ghouls, THE COLONY, FILE UNDER MISCELLANEOUS & FROM CHERRY ENGLISH in two blocks. I'll be there with Sarah Del (Jeff's wife), Kawennáhere and possibly other special guests to talk about the films and answer questions.

Congratulations to Mark Slutsky and Sarah Watts for getting Telefilm Funding for "You Can Live Forever". Prospector has been developing this film for years and we're thrilled to be taking another step towards production.

Telefilm Canada supports the production of 20 English-language feature films from across Canada with a total investment of over $7 million. Fifty per cent of the projects selected are directed and written by women. This year, Telefilm received and processed 136 applications...

SODEC is the not so secret ingredient to Quebec's film industry successes. They have consistently supported our films. We're beyond thrilled that they have agreed to support the production of Mark Slutsky and Sarah Fobes feature film debut, "You can live forever". Prospector Films first worked with Mark on his short film "Sorry, Rabbi". Since then, we've developed several ideas. He's been working his ass off to get his first feature off the ground. After 5 years of development, this collaboration with Sarah Fobes is now ready to take off. Congrats team!
