Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Sharon took a leap of faith with her now husband, Justin, and moved from PA to Phoenix in 2002. She met her now business partner, John, when he sold them their first home, where she was instantly intrigued with real estate. She got her license in 2003 and hasn’t looked back since.

In her own words : “I absolutely love helping people find their dream home or achieve their goals when selling. I love being able to educate and consult them through the entire process. There is such gratification when you are instrumental in such a big and important part of someone’s life, like buying or selling their home. It’s still a rush each and every time I get to deliver great news to a client!” Here is her entrepreneurial journey.

Me. Stephanie Bourassa, Founder of Bourassa Notaires started her firm only a few years after graduating and it has grown tremendously since. Originally from a small town in Quebec called Joliette, from the age of nine she knew she wanted to become a lawyer. “I changed my mind to specialize as a Notary, but knew I wanted to stand up for people and help everyone have a better chance with me on their side” she recalls about her decision.

When speaking about what motivates her, she notes “ever since I was young, I have always had a vision of how I wanted my life to be, I always looked at life differently from the rest of the world. I always believed in my dreams. I am also a very good manager with my own ideas, and these are qualities that have always helped me. For me, being an entrepreneur means knowing how to organize well and how to intervene well with these employees and of course the customers. People forget that without our employees we are nothing in the sense that the company does not run. I value my employees and treat them with the outmost loyalty, which is why they’ve stayed with me since the beginning”.

Valerie Smith is not a stranger to wearing multiple hats in her daily life. From running a successful real estate career, to sitting on charity boards, to a full time mother to her beautiful 12 year old daughter, life can get pretty hectic at times. She has found happiness living in the outskirts of the city, on a tranquil property far away from the city bustle. Her move happened shortly before the pandemic, selling her townhouse in Toronto and headed North to a town called Dunedin outside of Creemore. She recalls the decision to move being one of the best ones she has made stating that “Living in Dunedin so close to so many amazing outdoor activities allows me to easily balance work and play.
