Reposted from A slew of top-tier reggae and dancehall acts are confirmed for the upcoming Rise Reggae Festival in Montreal. It will take place on August 8-10 at Bassin Peel (a public area that is part of the Lachine Canal National Historic Site) located at 1049 De la Commune St W, in Montreal, Quebec.

The three-day event will feature performances by Sister Nancy, Demarco, Lady G, Kranium, and Massive B on day 1 (Aug. 8th); Romain Virgo, Anthony B, and Gramps Morgan on day 2 (Aug. 9th); and Alison Hinds, Patrice Roberts, and Skinny Fabulous on day 3 (Aug. 10th).

Anyone who tells you it's easy to produce/direct/work a festival.

Anyone who tells you it's easy to set up and work a food truck/stall/kiosk at a festival or for a living.

Knows nothing about it!!

Thank you Taste of the Caribbean - Un Goût des Caraïbes () - festival it was a great festival!!

The Mahaba Youth Alliance () had a spot at the festival.

"Bammy"

was the only 'Plant-based Caribbean Cuisine' kiosk at the festival and we had three youths from the community doing prep work, washing dishes, serving the food, and helping at the cash.

These last four days were a learning experience for the whole team.

I think we did a great job!!

Kes The Band () was in Montreal for The Montreal Jazz Festival () on Friday, July 4th, 2025. They performed on the Rogers Stage.

It was a great performance under the stars and the cool summer air on the Parterre in downtown Mtl.

The mixed crowd of the young and elders; parents with their children on their shoulders and in strollers was singing and dancing and whining themselves up to the beat of soca.

Multiculturalism at its finest!!

Kes The Band () était à Montréal pour le Festival de Jazz de Montréal () le vendredi 4 juillet 2025. Ils se sont produits sur la scène Rogers.

Ce fut une superbe prestation sous les étoiles et la fraîcheur estivale du Parterre, au centre-ville de Montréal.

Le public, composé de jeunes et de moins jeunes, de parents avec leurs enfants sur les épaules et en poussette, chantait, dansait et se réjouissait au rythme de la soca.

Le multiculturalisme à son meilleur !
