Après une pause bien méritée en juin, on est heureux d’être de retour à ce samedi 19 juillet. Il y a exactement 9 ans, on organisait notre toute premiere Canicule dans cette salle mythique de Montréal pendant le Festival Nuits d’Afrique. On avait eu le privilège incroyable d’inviter DJ Beto de San Francisco, l’une de nos premières inspirations à commencer à collectionner des vinyles latins du Panama, de la Colombie et d’ailleurs. C’est aussi lui qui est derrière les légendaires compilations Panama! et Colombia! sorties chez Soundway Records. Glissez vers la gauche pour quelques souvenirs de cette nuit chaude de juillet 2016.

After a well deserved break in June we are happy to be back at this Saturday July 19. Exactly 9 years ago we did our first Canicule event in this mythical venue in Montreal during the Nuits d’Afrique Festival, for which we had the amazing privilege to invite DJ Beto from San Francisco, one of our first inspiration to start collecting latin records from Panama, Colombia and beyond, and of course the compiler behind the legendary Panama! and Colombia! compilations from Soundway Records.
