One if the things I love about traveling solo is that I get to choose whenever and wherever I want to go eat. Breakfast is the meal of the day I get the most excited about because I wake up most mornings hungry and will become hangry without it. The fact that Montreal does it so well made me so HAPPY. There are loads of breakfast cafes around with so many options!

Do you look forward to food when you travel? If so, which meal of the day is it? I hope I'm not alone with breakfast!

Went apple picking on my own for the first time since preschool! Although, I didn't originally intend for it to be a solo activity, it ended up turning out that way and I took the opportunity to talk to the farmers about the layout Rockland County and it has contributed to my increasing appreciation for my hometown. 😊

Did you know Lake Deforest serves water for Rockland County, Orange County and parts of Northern NJ? I didn't either. 🤷‍♀️

Y'all. To get to the point I took this picture was a WHIRLWIND ASS EXPERIENCE.

My car broke down on I80W, my phone and portable charger were dying while I was trying to figure out next steps with friends and mechanics, I had to p*e in a bag in the back of the car on the side of the highway, get towed to the middle of nowhere ass New Jersey, wait an hour to FINALLY grab an Uber, arrive to my AirBnb ONLY to find that I my hosts are unreachable and I am locked out for the next half hour. So I had no choice but to make the last minute choice to tell my driver to take me to Mount Airy Casino Resort since they were 24 hours. Tell me how when I finally get there, THEN they get back to me with my code to enter in my AirBnb??

At any rate, I ended up freshening myself up at the casino with my luggage and managed to turn the night around by taking myself out for dinner and dessert and then grabbing this shot. 😊

Excited to finally share that that Silicon Valley is welcoming their newest and hottest (and I do mean hottest) kid to be a Technical Program Manager of Maps and Data at Uber!

Less than 1.5 years ago I went hardcore on my mission to be a self-taught programmer. I struggled my way through picking up Python, R, JavaScript, SQL, HTML & CSS. It caused me a lot of stress and affected my health in ways that still make me question whether or not it was worth it. I'm back to my normal health now, but it was a lot of effort. While I still question if it was worth it, I can't say I'm unhappy with the results! I was able negotiate my way to receive an additional $20K sign-on bonus and flexibility to be remote, making my total compensation well over $200K!

Really hoping that I can serve as positive representation for young black women in tech and STEM overall! :)

On my YouTube channel I'll soon be sharing more about how I got into Uber without a CS degree or boot camp, my interview experience, negotiating compensation packages, and my journey being a self taught programmer. Be on the lookout for new content! Link to my channel is in the bio.

This Valentine's Day episode was so much fun to record with my sister!

In this clip I talk about a concept I thought of called "streams of happiness". I speak about how that sustains and fulfills me in a way that makes romantic partnerships more of a complement rather than a need.

The episode critiques how we as a society prioritize romantic partnerships, the concept of finding fulfillment and worth in a partner, investing in the "potential" of a man, and SETTLING.

We also talk discuss the relationships of Insecure & Girlfriends and unpack the messiness surrounding Wendy's relationship with Kevin Hunter.
