I’ve travelled to a lot of places, but Guatemala stuck with me and I knew I had to go back!

But I decided I wanted to bring people with me.

✨✨I loved it so much I’m going back in March or April 2027 with a small group. Comment “GROUP” if you want to join us and I’ll send you the waitlist link 🤍
it will be a trip you will remember for many years to come!! ✨✨

Here’s what to do and see 👇

📍 ANTIGUA

- Walk under the Santa Catalina Arch with Volcán de Agua behind it
- Explore 400-year-old ruins left by earthquakes: Santa Clara, Capuchinas & San Francisco
- Hike (or tuk-tuk) up Cerro de la Cruz for the best view over the city
- Have sunset drinks on a rooftop with three volcanoes as the perfect backdrop
- Tour a coffee farm and try Guatemalan coffee straight from the source ☕
- Explore the bright yellow La Merced church, then get lost in the cobblestone streets

📍 LAKE ATITLÁN
- Get around the lake by lancha (boat taxi) and hop between villages
- San Juan La Laguna: colourful umbrella streets, murals, weaving co-ops & natural dye workshops 🎨
- San Marcos: swim and jump off the wooden platforms into the lake for a relaxing day
- Paddleboard or kayak in the morning, when the water is glassy
- Hike Indian Nose at sunrise for a view over the whole lake and its three volcanoes

📍 ACATENANGO
- The hike of a lifetime: climb above the clouds and camp overnight at base camp
- Watch Volcán de Fuego erupt all night, right across from you 🔥
- Get up for sunrise at the summit (3,976m). It’s tough, but worth every step

Is Guatemala on your bucket list??

My first Baltic country!

Did you know, Riga has the largest collection of Art Nouveau architecture in the world?

If you’re visiting Riga, you should know that it has a medieval old town you can walk end to end in twenty minutes and I found that 2 days is enough if you are visiting just the city.

Here’s how to spend 2 days in Riga:

Day 1:

- House of the Blackheads
- The cathedral
- Stroll through the little cobble stone lanes
- Bastejkalna Park (the prettiest green space in the city)
- Walk the Art Nouveau district on Alberta iela
- Dinner at Ala Pagrabs for a cool atmosphere
- Finish with a drink somewhere in the old town (sooooo many places to choose from)

Day 2:

- Riga Central Market
- The National Library of Latvia
- Lunch or drink at Chef Mezze for cool vibes
- Spend the afternoon wandering Miera iela or the Kalnciema quarter for the more local side of the city

- If you have extra time, Jurmala beach is about 30 minutes by train 🚊🏖️

What to know before you go:

Riga is small and very walkable. The costs are reasonable and cheaper than many places in Europe.
The airport is only about 20 minutes from the centre and easily accessible by bus. Summer means long, bright evenings. I found that the city is heavily concentrated around bars and nightlife and realized it’s a veryyy popular bachelor/bachelorette party destination and it wasn’t necessarily our vibe.

But for 48 hours it’s great to visit and we loved all of the architecture and how beautiful and colourful the city is.

Save this for your Baltic trip.

Warsaw is the one of most underrated capital cities in Europe that I’ve visited. I usually don’t hear people talking about it and I really think people don’t give it the time it deserves.

I myself wanted to spend only a few hours here when I first planned our trip but once you slow down, you realize this city has so much to offer.

It’s really hard to believe that this beautiful Old Town was rebuilt from rubble. You will also see amazing palaces and parks, and a whole wave of old factories, breweries and power plants turned into food halls and bars.

If you’re planning a trip, here’s how to spend 2 days in Warsaw: (but of course you can plan to spend even more time here and see everything at a slower pace). The public transport is super easy and efficient for getting around!

📌Day 1:

•Old Town Market Square (all of it rebuilt after WWII, and UNESCO listed because of it)
•Royal Castle
•Castle Square & St. John’s Cathedral
•Neon Museum in Praga
•Gnojna Góra viewpoint over the Vistula
•Warsaw Barbican
•Krakowskie Przedmieście promenade
•Sunset views from St. Anne’s Church tower

📌Day 2:

•Łazienki Park & Chopin statue (free Chopin concerts here on summer Sundays)
•Wilanów Palace & gardens
•Palace of Culture & Science viewing terrace
•University of Warsaw Library rooftop garden (free, and one of the best views in the city)
•Elektrownia Powiśle
•Browary Warszawskie
•Norblin Factory
•Vistula River waterside bars

When to visit Warsaw:
May to September is best. Summer is hot and the river bars come alive at night but also the city is more crowded in general. Late spring and early autumn give you the fewest crowds and the best light. Winter gets properly cold, but the Christmas markets make up for it.

I loved Warsaw and if you’re only planning on major tourist spots like krakow or Wroclaw… you’re missing out on a lot!

Save this for your Poland trip.

Why visit Warsaw, Warsaw itinerary, best of Warsaw, best of Poland, what to see in Poland, underrated cities Europe

08/15/2026

We didn’t expect to love this country as much as we did.

It has the charm of Western Europe, the history of Central Europe, beautiful landscapes and mountains, charming medieval cities, and a coastline on the Baltic Sea.

This is Poland 🇵🇱

Here are a few places worth adding to your itinerary:
🇵🇱Kraków is one of Europe’s most beautiful old towns. It really impressed me.

🇵🇱Zakopane & the Tatra Mountains are perfect for amazing hikes, scenic mountain lakes and landscapes

🇵🇱Gdańsk is where you will see the most colorful waterfront, rich history, and even some beaches

🇵🇱Warsaw is a super cool city. It has a nice mix of “old” and modern city life

🇵🇱Wrocław has charming squares, canals, and its where you can go searching for hundreds dwarf statues

What surprised me most was how beautiful Poland is, and still feels authentic, affordable, and in my opinion underrated compared to other European destinations.

If Poland isn’t on your travel list yet, add it to your bucket list.

Have you been, or is it somewhere you’d like to visit?

After visiting 30+ countries in Europe, Poland has become one of my favorites and it completely surprised me!

What I love is the mix of history, nature and culture you get for such great value. Kraków is such a beautiful city with Europe’s largest market square. Outside of the city, you can also visit Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial or descend into the Wieliczka Salt Mine, an underground world of chapels and chambers carved entirely from salt.

To the south you will find the Tatra Mountains around Zakopane, which is perfect for outdoor adventure and hiking lovers.

And of course there is Warsaw, a capital that rebuilt itself from the ashes into something modern and vibrant. It’s almost hard to believe!!! 😍 I really loved it more than I expected and I’m surprised more people don’t talk about it.

⏳ HOW MUCH TIME: 8 days for me was ideal for a first trip. It lets you pair Kraków and the south with a night or two in Warsaw without.

📅 BEST TIME TO GO: May to June or September is the sweet spot. The weather is warm, the parks are green and the summer crowds and prices haven’t peaked. July and August are nice but SOOOO BUSY!!

✅ MUST KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Poland uses the złoty (PLN), not the euro. It’s very affordable compared to Western Europe. Book all tickets well in advance during the peak summer season as they sell out. Trains between major cities are comfortable and cheap (book in advance). And come hungry, because the food is amazing 😍😍😍

🗺️ IF YOU HAVE MORE TIME: Add Wrocław, Gdansk Białowieża Forest or the lakes of Masuria

Is this one of Europe’s best kept secrets?

This city really took us by surprise. The old town, the riverside cafes and restaurants, the castle at top, the green spaces… the city definitely has a charm!

📍Ljubljana, Slovenia

The city has a calm, relaxed vibe and it’s super walkable and bike-friendly. And of course the perfect gateway to explore the rest of the country.

Here are the top things to do when in Ljubljana:

🏰 visit the Ljubljana castle. Take the funicular or walk up to get the best panoramic views of the city and watch the sunset. Inside the castle you will find a history museum and art exhibits.

⛴️ take a boat tour on Ljubljana River and see the city from a different angle.

🛍️ visit the Central Market where you can find fresh produce, flowers, honey, cheese and souvenirs.

⛪️ visit the pink Franciscan church and Saint Nicholas Cathedral

🐉 cross the many bridges, including the famous dragon bridge

🌳 visit Tivoli Park and enjoy the serene green space including a botanical garden

🚶🏻‍♀️wander through the Old Town and people watching in Preseren Square or Congress Square- one of my favorite activities 😅

🍺 enjoy the cafe and restaurant culture along the river. There are so many options to choose from.

🎨 walk around Metelkova. An area similar to Christiana in Copenhagen where you will see different forms of art, underground music and a glimpse of Bohemian life.

Make sure to ADD this city to your bucket list!!! This is one city in Europe you should not miss!

Montenegro is such a small country but has so much to offer!

What makes Montenegro so special is just how much variety is packed into such a small space. The Bay of Kotor is unlike anything else in Europe. Then you find Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans, where you can glide through floating water lily fields and visit a 15th-century monastery on a tiny island. You can drive up to Lovcen National Park and you’re surrounded by amazing panoramic views . And then there’s the coast: Budva’s ancient Old Town, the secluded coves of the Lustica Peninsula, the glamorous marina of Porto Montenegro. It’s a lot, and it’s all within a couple of hours of each other.

The best time to visit is May to June or September to October. The weather is warm, the sea is swimmable, and the crowds of peak summer haven’t yet arrived or have just left. July and August are beautiful but the Bay of Kotor and Budva get very busy and prices go up.

📌 Save this for your trip planning and swipe through for the full 7-day itinerary.

Kotor is a must-visit and deserves a few days to truly explore. This walled city sits at the foot of mountains, overlooking the stunning Bay of Kotor, which is often called Europe’s southernmost fjord.
Where to Stay: Old Town for atmosphere, or Dobrota for a quieter base.

Perast is a tiny Baroque village on the shores of the Bay of Kotor, with just a handful of streets but a charm that’s completely captivating. It’s easily done as a half-day or full-day trip from Kotor.
Getting There: Bus or taxi from Kotor (~20 min). Avoid driving if possible as parking is extremely limited. Or go super early!

Budva is Montenegro’s most popular tourist destination but honestly not my favori

This is what makes travel special for me. When you experience different parts of the world and different ways of life.

Life here moves differently. It’s loud, chaotic, colourful and people. Just living their lives. Real everyday life.

This is Cambodia and this is “travel through my eyes”. A series where you see places as I experienced them. No cinematic shots and perfectly staged angles. Just real travel moments captured from my POV using Ray-Ban | Meta

Cambodia was always high on my list and after many years, I finally got to visit and it was the raw experience I always crave. I saw stilt villages in the dry season, which was a unique experience as you got to walk through and get close instead of being on a boat. Communities with kids laughing, playing and enjoying life.

Then there is the markets which are always full of colour, noise, smells 😅 with women working at different stalls in the scorching heat.

Is Cambodia on your bucket list?

✨Stayed tuned for more from Cambodia and follow for more captures from real moments! ✨

Unpopular travel opinion?

After visiting many European countries and multiple cities in each, there are a few I personally wouldn’t rush back to.

This is not because these places are “bad” cities. Some have great food, some have interesting history, some have “cool” neighborhoods but as a travel destination, these are ones where I didn’t feel much excitement when I visited.

When you start to travel more, you start comparing places to one another and you see what things you like and what you don’t. People have different criteria when they travel and according to those criteria, some places become hard to remember and some become unforgettable. And SOME places really deserve a second chance to understand better!

What criteria do you look for or do you admire most about places you visit?

Are there any places you visited and thought that it was overrated or wanted to leave?
