"You're the One For Me" is een nummer geschreven door James "D-Train" Williams en Hubert Eaves III van D-Train, een post-disco duo uit New York, uitgebracht in 1981 door Prelude Records. "You're the One for Me" werd voor het eerst in kaart gebracht op 19 december 1981, op nummer in de Billboard dance singles chart. Het was begin 1982 drie weken lang een dancehit. De single haalde ook op de soul singles chart. Later in 1982 zou "You're the One for Me" samen met het nummer "Keep On" piekeren op in de dance charts. "Keep On" piekte op op de soul chart
