An independent video production company from Montreal, Canada, Beanduck was founded by director Julian Stamboulieh and producer Benjamin Warner. Following up on the critical and creative success that was the web series LARPs (a collaboration with writer Jon Verrall and housed on Felicia Day's Geek & Sundry, a part of Legendary's Digital Network), we will be releasing short films in a variety of styles to our audience, in hopes that we can continue to grow as artists and entertainers.

We are thrilled to announce the incomparable Laura Mitchell took home the “Best Actress” award at this weekend’s The Canadian Independent Film Festival - CIFF. Her performances in both this film and the original theatre piece are emotionally charged masterclasses, and we’re glad the judges agreed.

A huge thank you again to Theatre Ouest End & Ann Lambert for trusting us to work together on this beautiful piece, and to the other unbelievable actors who generously elevated each other's performances.

We were so thrilled to work with Concordia University on two videos for the Grey Nuns Residence earlier this year.

Alongside Holly Brace Lavoie as Narrative Director, Naomi Silver-Vézina as DOP and Tadeo Valencia on sound, we had a fabulous time meeting the students, and getting a glimpse into what makes their home so special.

Huge thanks to Ashley Allen for trusting us, Chelsea Sales for all her help on set, and Tala for being a fun and engaging guide.

Here's the first of two:

Love the Sinner is a hard-hitting dramatic two-hander with absurdist elements following the joint unraveling of high school sweethearts Lenna (devout Catholic) and Elle (shy stoner) when Elle comes out as trans. SCENE STUDY w/ ERIC DAVIS & JULIAN STAMBOULIEH
Registration closes May 29th

Watching this legendary scene from Pulp Fiction interpreted by Nichita Ghiduleanov and Roumy was so much fun and very rewarding. Here's an excerpt from that scene.

On the final day of our workshops, we pull out the fancy camera so that actors can apply all the growth over the sessions into a scene that can be properly used to showcase their talent.

If you'd to join us in our June workshops, you can find all the info at beanduck.com/workshops

OUR STORY

An independent video production company from Montreal, Canada, Beanduck was founded in 2012 by director Julian Stamboulieh and producer Benjamin Warner.

Shortly after Beanduck’s inception, the company received great critical and creative acclaim with the web series LARPs - a collaboration with writer Jon Verrall and housed on Felicia Day's Geek & Sundry, a part of Legendary's Digital Network.

Fan integration and engagement is at the core of Beanduck’s mandate. The success of LARPs demonstrated the importance of not simply telling a story to a community, but with a community.

The company excels at producing content with a geek flair, using creative and innovative platforms to reach audiences. A Beanduck production taps into a network of talented Montreal artists and creators to tell stories with humour, heart and ingenuity.
