Another fun Wedding in the books!

The Gananoque Curling Club was the place and Jessica and Tiffany were our Bride's tying the knot!

The Ceremony was held in the club, with the room arranged for it to be done. Once the Ceremony was complete and the ladies were sent up the aisle towards the next step in their day, the photos, then the room was flipped for dinner.

I introduced the Brides into the room to great applause and we then settled in for a great meal served up by the hall with only a few speeches overall between courses to break things up a bit. Once Jessica and Tiffany did their speech, other guests started arriving and once the majority of them were there we began with the First Dance, which tonight was Ruelle's I Get To Love You. The next two dances were nicely done as well with Jessica and Tiffany dancing the Father Daughter Dance together with their Dads, and then they did the same with their Moms. After that we got everyone on the dance floor for a large group photo and then kicked off the dance floor. Dancing was steady throughout the evening with a small but dedicated group dancing for most of the evening, and at times it grew significantly. We ended the night at the cutoff time of Midnight and all went home happy. Jessica and Tiffany requested a Private Last Dance and I set that up for them to do as well. I find this a nice touch to end the night when it can happen.

Thank You again to Jessica and Tiffany for having faith in my services to work your Wedding Day. It was a pleasure to work with you guys and I hope everything went as you hoped it would. Maybe I will see you guys on a dance floor again at some point in time. Wishing you all the best!

As we move into the second half of September, there are only 8 Weddings left to finish out my season, but they should all be good ones! Next weekend I get to work in the town where I live, which doesn't happen often. Looking forward to the shorter commute! LOL.

Until then...

Day 3, the final Wedding of the weekend. Once again there was a couple in attendance that I worked with in the past, who was related to today's Bride. Katelyn and Brandon had their Wedding Day at Orange Barn Events. This was my first time at this relatively new venue. The owners are wonderful and its a nice large open space that you can do alot with. I'm sure Pinterest can help doll it up for you if ideas are required. There is also a nice spot behind the venue for your Ceremony as well. Take a look if that sounds good to you.

Katelyn and Brandon started their day outside the venue with their Ceremony. Katelyn was sporting a black Wedding dress, which was a nice change. In this case it worked well. They even had shoes made with their names on them and their Wedding date. Nice touches.

After the Ceremony and photos with and without Family, I introduced them into the room for dinner. This was a very small Wedding, with only around 40 people total, so the dinner, which was a buffet, went quickly. They opted for no speeches this evening, so after dinner and dessert, they went right into their First Dance, which this evening was Good Morning Beautiful by Steve Holy. Part way through I invited all of the guests to join them. After their dance Katelyn did a brief dance with her Grandfather and Brandon then did a brief dance with his Mom.

We then opened the dance floor, but this crowd, not large, was not an overly dancy crowd, so very few took a turn on the floor, while others called it an early night, being that it was a Sunday I suspect. Some people did dance, which was great, and Katelyn joined the dance floor several times as well. But ultimately, people slowly filtered out and the couple cut the evening a bit earlier than initially planned. Regardless, everyone had fun and it was a successful day for them.

Thank You again Katelyn and Brandon for using my services for your big day, it is greatly appreciated. Wishing the two of you all the best in your future years together. Maybe our paths will cross again sometime on another dance floor!

And that is that for the busiest Wedding weekend for my year. I still have a couple of back to back Weddings on Saturdays and Sundays coming up, but nothing like this...

There is another Wedding this weekend, but more on that when it draws closer.

On night number two this weekend I moved up the 401 to Happy Life Farms for Hailey and Cole's Wedding Day.

The day did not start well, and I mean the morning when we all woke up, as it was raining, dreary and very unsure about what we would be in for the rest of the day. Mother Nature finally chose how the day would play out and the sun came out in the early afternoon and turned the day into an amazing day.

The Ceremony started everything and was perfectly executed by everyone and they were Married and heading back up the aisle!

After a bunch of photos were taken, it was time for the Grand Entrance, where the entire Bridal Party came in Girls then Guys, all followed by the Bride and Groom. Lots of fun, and then they went directly into their First Dance, which tonight featured Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's The Rest Of Our Life.

Dinner this evening was a buffet and was delicious. Speeches followed and the Parent Dances were completed after each of the Parents did their speeches, which I always like, as it does things up a bit differently. During the Bride and Groom speech, Hailey did a nice tribute to her Mom with a nice piece of music playing below her speaking and dedicated her Bouquet to her at the end of it.

The dance floor opened with a slow song, doubling as an Anniversary Dance, which whittled everyone down to the last two couples left on the floor being the longest Married and both Married on the same date. Very nice.

The dance floor officially opened after that and away we went! It was a great dance floor throughout the night, with everyone taking their turn up their at one time or another. And many times it was well packed. We took the night pretty much to the shutdown time with several people still up dancing. A great day overall!

This was another fun Wedding where a past couple I worked with were in attendance as well as a few other guests. Loved it!

Thank You again Hailey and Cole for using Octave Entertainment for your Wedding Day. It was great working with the two of you and it was fun meeting with you guys to get everything organized. Wishing you guys all the best and hope to see you again on another dance floor somewhere.

What a weekend!

Friday was day 1 and it was all about Kate and Jared and their Wedding at Bean Town Ranch!

Our day together started at Grand Entrance, as their Ceremony and Cocktail period are taken care of by the Ranch.

The Grand Entrance was exactly that, loud and lots of fun as we intro'd the Bridal Party and the new Couple into the room!

Dinner began promptly right after that and we sprinkled the few speeches we had in between courses and once Kate and Jared took their turn at the microphone, everyone was directed outside for the First Dance on the island complete with the traditional fireworks. Their song of choice for today was Ordinary by Alex Warren.

Everyone came back inside right after that to begin the rest of the evening with the Parent Dances and then the dance floor erupted and was quite constant for most of the night afterwards. A great crowd was on hand and kept things going. We didn't quite make the end time, but it was total fun until they decided it was over.

Thanks so much to Kate and Jared for choosing my services for your day. It was great fun working with you up to and including the big day and at such a wonderful venue. Wishing the two of you nothing but the best in your lives together and I hope to one day see you guys at another event. Thanks again!
