Our website is unfortunately the victim of a hack that is so deeply corrupted that I (Charlie) will need to gut it and start over.
The site has been strictly a legacy to the past activities of Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc. No new information has been added for several years.

The "alumni" of those amazingly rewarding years ~2006 to 2017 still have a fondness for being able to review all the good things that took place so we are pleased to keep the website live indefinitely.

Other sites I manage got hit too so I am like the utility company restoring service to the houses one by one; bulb by bulb if I have to.

The past two days I was at Woodrock Studios with Rave Tesar and Geoffrey Langley both in Renaissance and Geoffrey is also in The Twenty Committee (check out their new album) rehearsing for our concert this Saturday opening for Rick Wakeman Rick Wakeman Music what a treat, can't wait, I love his music, artistry and his fabulous sense of humor.
The show is at the Scottish Rite Auditorium, Collingswood, NJ but is SOLD OUT...I wish there had been more shows but am happy to have been invited to be a part of what will be an unforgettable evening of some of the best music on this planet!

Best Wishes of the season to all Souls. To provide an update for the many people who have inquired, all is well with Ken. He is living far from the cities, in a quiet and scenic cottage area. Checking in with him earlier in December I learned that he now has four generations of the family living in very close proximity, including his mother.

Nothing has changed about the move to abandon emails and the rest of the internet for him. He is several hours' drive from me but we pick up on the phone conversations like it was just last month since the last one which pleases me. I pass on to Ken the names of people still asking for him.

I keep moving to different small towns, preferably walking distance to lakes and rivers, and l live the quiet life as well. I will return to adding more legacy content to the website from the active period of Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc.

Thank you to all for your interest and your long lasting alliance to the spirit of past endeavours we all together made happen.

Thanks to everyone who has expressed interest, and some concern, as to what's going on with Soul and with Ken - founder and the heart of Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc.

We were at it constantly for a decade and for a variety of reasons, step by step, activities wound down for book publishing and for producing Asylum For Your Soul - the weekly radio show. What could be in the future? Uncertain.

Our attention is turned for now to keeping the website going as a kind of "Legacy" site where the history of the enterprise can be shared and celebrated. There are just too many accomplishments and milestones to let go without a record of them.

Gradually the website is being filled with sections including:
Press Releases and stories about the business and Ken.
Appearances and Causes (charity and entertainment events)
Published titles
Radio show listings

It's labour intensive to retrieve a lot of that information and transfer it to website content but we're at it. It will expand as we put together more of the gigabytes (over 250 GB) of archived files created over so many years. e.g. adding back in the details of each book rather than just the covers.

There is enough basic material there now to give an idea of where we're going with it so please make a visit.
