Fairy Creek is a beautiful watershed on Pacheedaht territoryโon the west coast of Vancouver Islandโand home to some of the last remaining high-productivity old growth forest.
These monuments to ancient ecology are being cut down every day...
over 90% are already gone.
So, risking everything in endearing commitment to a cause greater than themselves, these land protectors have left their lives behind to keep these ancient ecosystems safe from the blade of short-term profits.
We visited the main blockadeโthe HQ of the "Last Stand" for forestsโto get some insight from those good people who are willing to put it all on the line for mother earth.
