Greetings Country Music friends,

Taking on the The Napanee Country Jamboree will be a labor of love, but not without it's challenges, and as you can imagine, a few upfront and unforeseen costs; so we have decided to ask a little help from our friends to host a benefit show to help support the Jamboree.

This show will also give us an opportunity to say farewell to the Napanee Lions Hall which has been home to many Country Music events in the community over the past 40 years!

So here's the details:

Saturday November 30th from 1-5pm $15 general admission
Napanee Lions Hall 57 County Rd. 8, Napanee ON
Country Music, dancing, door prizes, share the wealth draw!
1 hour headlining sets from Dieter Boehme, Kevin Turner, and Landon Martin, backed by the Legacy Band featuring Andy Schick (Steel), Darrin Johnson (Guitar), Garry Wales (Bass), and Brad El Baterista (Drums)

All musicians will be compensated fairly, and any profits to be made will go directly to the costs associated with the Jamboree, for example: grounds rental, insurance, portable toilets, tents, security etc. etc.

All are welcome, and we hope you will join us!

Dieter Boehme was a unique name that I heard many times growing up. Much of my family were country music lovers, and even my grandfather took a shine to Dieter and encouraged him in his career. Despite the connection, only in recent years did I have the opportunity to meet Dieter.

I've always been interested in country music history, and when I did some research I found that Dieter had an impressive career with highlights that included performing on the Tommy Hunter Show, opening for the likes of Merle Haggard and George Jones, writing original material, recording in Nashville and co-managing the "Flying High" record label with his former wife.

Unfortunately, when I wanted to listen to his music it was nowhere to be found...even a broad internet search would scarcely produce a handful of photos, 45" records of lore, and perhaps one or two songs on YouTube.

So I am extremely happy to announce that I have collaborated with Dieter Boehme directly, and with the help of Dave Daw at Summit Sound, we have digitally transferred all recorded material into two volumes which are now available in both CD format for purchase, and on all digital music platforms including Spotify, Apple Music etc.

Along with this offering, we will be uploading the albums to Youtube in the near future, and putting together an archive of photos and history via a page to come.

Great to have Hickory Switch Ontario Canada in the 1952 Productions studio this week for a photo shoot. Wishing them a successful 2024 with their newest member Mr. Bobby Jacobs on pedal steel and fiddle.

Looking forward to Hanks Classic Country Festival this weekend at Happy Green Acres in Mallorytown. This will be a rare live performance from The Legacy Project band, and will feature Darrin Johnson, Landon Martin, Mitch Barker, Andy Schick, and Brad Baldwin Thursday night 7pm start. We hope to see some friends and neighbors out for this fantastic event.
