If your property was affected by the June 2026 heavy rainfall event, contact your insurance provider, take photos of all damages, keep records of cleanup and repairs, and retain all receipts and invoices related to recovery efforts. DFA may provide assistance for eligible uninsurable losses.

The Province of Manitoba has established a Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) Program for the June 2026 Heavy Rains event. The program is available to support homeowners, farms, businesses and non-profit organizations with eligible uninsured losses as a result of heavy rains and overland flooding during June 2026. Residents are encouraged to contact their insurance provider first to determine available coverage.

Property owners should:
• take photographs of any damage;
• keep records of cleanup and repair activities; and
• retain all receipts and invoices related to recovery efforts.

Visit the Manitoba Emergency Management Organization (EMO) website at www.manitoba.ca/emo to access valuable information, complete and submit an online application, or obtain a printable copy of the application form.
