Heads up from the Town of Stellarton!

Foord street will be closed to traffic tonight for some awesome Homecoming activities!

Residents are advised that Foord Street will be closed today, July 25 from approximately 4:30-10pm.

Parking will also be limited on the street beginning after 12pm. This is required for the Homecoming Street Party.

Motorists should use caution when travelling in the area and should use alternate routes to avoid delays.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank residents for their patience during this time.

Opening ceremonies were last night for the Nova Scotia Special Olympics Summer Games at StFX in Antigonish!

Competitions are underway now! Thank you to all the Volunteers and coaches who are out there with them this weekend too!

The Special Olympics’ Law Enforcement and Michelin Torch Run is dropping by The Wellness Centre around 2:45 this afternoon!! 🏅🏃🏼‍♂️

Come cheer on the Olympians, see the torch, and get some pictures!! The Nova Scotia Special Olympics Summer Games are happening this weekend in Antigonish, so it’s a perfect opportunity to come out and show your support for our local athletes!
