CJTT FM - Temiskaming Shores, Ontario

CJTT FM - Temiskaming Shores, Ontario CJTT was originally launched in 1967 at 1230 kHz on the AM band as a semi-satellite station of CJKL. The station became a stand alone station on March 27, 1978.

Our mission is twofold:
- To provide area residents with access to local news, weather, and sports playing Today's Hits and Yesterday's Classics.
- To provide area businesses, agencies and organizations opportunities to market their goods and services. CJTT was originally owned by Kirkland Lake Broadcasting Ltd. CJTT was a CBC affiliate from 1987-1996. Connelly Communications Corporation purchased CJTT and CJKL in Kirkland Lake in 1985. In 1998, CJTT moved from 1230 AM to its current FM frequency at 104.5 FM. In 2002, CJTT won the Community Builder Award for its longstanding community involvement. It was presented in Haileybury, during An Evening of Excellence. The station hosts a series of community events, including The Christmas Wish program for needy children and The Spooktacular Halloween program. In addition, CJTT presents the CJTT-FM Citizen of the Year award and CJTT-FM Lifetime Achievement award annually.

🚧 HIGHWAY 11 CLOSURE & DETOUR NOTICE 🚧

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) will be temporarily closing Highway 11 at the Ontario Northland Railway crossing north of Bedard Road to complete repairs to the railway crossing. The City of Temiskaming Shores is helping support traffic management for Highway movement. Local Traffic will still be able to flow the normal routes through Armstrong and Whitewood.

📅 Closure: Friday, October 2 at 9:00 p.m.
📅 Reopening: Sunday, October 4 at 9:00 a.m.

Highway 11 will be closed to all traffic between Highway 65 (The Cow) and Bedard Road. Traffic will be directed along the signed Emergency Detour Route using Golf Course Road and Highway 65W.

⚠️ Golf Course Road / Highway 11 Intersection
With Highway 11 traffic being redirected onto Golf Course Road, the intersection at Highway 11 and Golf Course Road is expected to be significantly busier than normal.
To help traffic move safely and efficiently through the intersection, the City will temporarily close the westbound access from Drive In Theatre Road during the Highway 11 closure. This will reduce conflicting traffic movements and help accommodate the increased volume of vehicles using the detour.

Motorists should:
1. Follow all posted detour and traffic control signage
2. Expect increased traffic and possible delays
3. Allow additional travel time
4. Use extra caution when approaching the Highway 11 / Golf Course Road intersection
5. Be patient and courteous with other motorists

The official detour is approximately 8.2 km and is expected to add approximately eight minutes of travel time.

Please plan ahead and drive carefully. We appreciate everyone's patience while the MTO and ONR complete this important work.
