Farming in the rich organic soils of Germany, and other parts of Europe, has been a traditional way of bringing life back to small towns year after year. The same happens everywhere else in the world. From tropical banana plantations in Ecuador to vineyards in Israel, there is a routine that makes produce to be put in the market without hurting the future of the farm. But the routine alone does not ensure continuity, a farm needs workers and skilled farmers capable of leading this ancient, admirable, and honest way of living.
