🌞 Shine for Sunshine School: March Fundraising Campaign

“When you shop with purpose, you help a child shine. This March, every item from our Down Syndrome Collection fuels the mission of Sunshine School in Bequia—where children with special needs are nurtured, supported, and celebrated.”

Sunshine School is the only dedicated learning space for children with special needs on the island of Bequia. They provide individualized education, therapy support, and a safe, loving environment where every child is seen, valued, and encouraged to grow. Their work is essential—and they rely on community support to keep going.

100% of proceeds from our Down Syndrome Collection will support Sunshine School all month long. www.differentability2.com

“Your support this March can light up a child’s future—shop our Down Syndrome Collection where you purchase becomes an act of advocacy, inclusion and love.”

At Jess’ Squad, we celebrate every rhythm — the fast ones, the slow ones, the joyful ones, the determined ones. You don’t need to fit into anyone else’s timeline to be worthy. Your pace is powerful. Your voice is valid. Your journey is enough.

When we honour the way our children move through the world, we teach others to do the same. We push back against systems that rush them, underestimate them, or overlook their brilliance. We advocate, we educate, and we show up — because inclusion isn’t optional, it’s essential.

Walking in your own rhythm and cheer for those who walk in theirs. That’s how we change the world, one brave step at a time. 💛✨

What's one thing you would like world to understand about our children who learn and grow different? Let's inspire and educate by sharing in the comments.

After almost two weeks away, look who made it back to school today.

To everyone who reached out—whether with a visit, a message, or a prayer—thank you. Your love and support made all the difference.

Jess Squad December 2025 Mission Update
In December 2025, Team Jess Squad traveled to St. Vincent and the Grenadines with one goal in mind — to bless students across several special needs schools with 70 bags filled with love, goodies, and encouragement.
Although we arrived ready to deliver these gifts personally, unexpected operational delays at the Port Authority prevented us from receiving the items before the schools closed for the term.
But the mission didn’t stop there. To ensure every child still received their gift, the bags were officially handed over to the Ministry for proper distribution.
Our hearts remain full knowing that the students will still experience the joy and support these gifts were meant to bring. Jess Squad is committed to showing up, speaking up, and standing up for the disability community — no matter the obstacles.
đź’™ Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us make a difference, one child at a time.

My name is Jasmine, and I’m honoured to be the mother of three incredible gifts — my 13‑year‑old son, our 8‑year‑old princess, and my oldest, who’s 23 no longer at home but forever my baby.
Both of my boys and I live with ADHD, and our Princess Jess, who was born with Down syndrome, was recently diagnosed with ADHD too.

Support from friends and loved one has made a huge difference on this journey. Having people who listen, understand, and stand with us has brought strength on the hard days and joy on the brighter ones. It’s the encouragement, the shared experiences, and the sense of community that remind us, we’re not walking this path alone. That kind of support is powerful enough to change everything.

Together, we can create a world where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated, and where every family feels included and connected.

Just over eight years ago, genetics consultants advised me to terminate my pregnancy. The fluid accumulating in your brain could cause permanent damage. The abnormalities on the anatomy scan were concerning. You chance of living a “normal” life look bleak. My heart was shattered, but my faith was unshakeable. I chose you.
The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth every step. Your smile, your laughter, and the light you bring into every room remind me daily why I’d choose you again. They couldn’t see the beauty in my little caterpillar — but I’m happy I did.
Happy 8th Birthday to my beautiful butterfly. 🦋
