He is already wondering about the trailer ... should he get in? Is it safe?
That is exactly why I'm NOT taking him to it.
Instead, we will practice a skill he needs to feel safer about the trailer.

The riders who make the fastest progress are the ones who put time and consistency into HOW they ride and make the subtle changes in themselves that will allow their horse to perform better.

What a great poster!
If you know what is NORMAL you will notice what it a RED ALERT!

Great practical information courtesy of the horse doctors at Barrow Veterinary Service:

NORMAL: NOT JUST A SETTING ON THE DRYER!
If your horse seems a little "off," do you know what his "normal" is? One of the best ways you can determine if your horse is ill is to know his normal vitals—temperature, breaths per minute, heart rate, and capillary refill time. If they are outside the normal range, a call to your equine veterinarian is definitely warranted! Any refusal to eat a meal or to get up from a recumbent position is also a clue that you and your equine friend need assistance.

This is about what you will need to be aware of as you work through the material in the course. It will help you get the results you want faster.

So many people have asked me "How do I stop my horse from crowding me and not doing what I want?"

And so often I see them making the mistake of pressuring the horse into submission using restraints and other coercive techniques.

So I've been thinking that a FREE Mini Course that would help frustrated horse owners like yourself to get Mutual Respect and a solid foundation for all your future equine goals.

Would that be of interest to you?
If so, send me a PM!

There's a story here. It's so important to notice changes and assess - like a sherlock holmes's mystery.
What happened - what's your first step?
Ideas welcome 🙄

Yes, this was in the cooler weather but it never gets old. Snoopy only has to see me standing on the barrel and he lines up for a grooming session. He will even show me where it is itchy.

Tips for the Pony Mane

11/05/2021

Consider the ability of your horse or pony to put its head/neck in a relaxed position when on the aisle. The more relaxed they can stand (head lower) the less they tend to move about.

If your pony or horse nips when you reach for the cinch or girth ... instead of discipline try making it more comfortable, confident and accepting using this technique (shout out to Tellington-Jones)

Stepped on but never broken or torn - often I could curl my toes back in my shoes in time and I always wore appropriate footwear (no flipflops).
BUT the real saver was in the leading with awareness of my personal space and being able to define and maintain that space.
Holding 6" from the clip vs 12' or further?
Which one do you feel safer doing when leading?

So many riders who have experienced accidents with their horses, make the mistake of pushing through the fear and getting back in the saddle BEFORE setting themselves and their horse up for success.
So I'm putting together a FREE MINI COURSE that will help riders like yourself, get past the unknowns and the what-ifs and start moving toward being in control of the outcome you desire.
Would this be of interest to you?
Comment below and let me know if I'm on the right track.
