Some mentorship journeys begin in the most ordinary moments.

I was sitting in my car outside my doctor’s office, waiting for a routine appointment, when I received a message from Simran:

“I admire your work, and I want to learn directly from you.”

When we connected over the phone, I immediately noticed her clarity. She was busy caring for her little baby, yet her questions were relevant, direct, and thoughtful. Our conversation flowed so naturally that it felt as though trust and understanding were already present.

What stood out most was her grounded mindset. She was analytical about the expectations and responsibilities of becoming a business owner, while remaining open to learning, believing, and eventually growing into leadership.

She didn’t rush her decision.

After studying the business model, watching the webinars, and completing the pre-coaching videos, she called me again:

“Di, can my husband join our coaching call? He has questions.”

“Absolutely,” I told her. “When a business decision affects the family, I encourage everyone involved to come together, ask their questions, and gain clarity.”

We had a thorough Zoom strategy call. By the end, Simran and her husband had the understanding they needed to make their own informed decision, and they chose to begin.

What I admire is not simply that Simran joined my team. It is how she joined: with questions, clarity, family support, and a learner’s mindset.

Today, she is caring for her baby girl while taking her first steps toward building her business and preparing to help other women like herself.

I’m proud to welcome Simran to our team and share the beginning of her story with my community.

To me, mentorship is not about changing someone’s life for them. It is about walking beside them as they gain the knowledge, confidence, and skills to create change for themselves.

If you see a part of yourself in Simran’s story and want to explore this path thoughtfully, send me a DM with the word LEARN. I’ll help you understand the process and decide whether it aligns with you.

I went into this Zoom session ready to speak about mindset. I came out of it feeling just as inspired by my own team.

It was purposeful, honest and beautifully candid. Everyone was involved; sharing their thoughts, feedback, suggestions and real strategies from their business journeys. There was laughter, reflection and the kind of conversation where no one was simply sitting and listening.

For me, the most fulfilling part was listening to the leaders I’ve had the privilege of mentoring over the years. Hearing them speak with clarity, confidence and wisdom reminded me that true leadership is not about being the only voice in the room. It is about helping more voices rise.

I didn’t only deliver this session. I received from it too.

This is what growth looks like.
This is what leadership sounds like.

And this is what a team feels like when everyone knows their voice matters.

If you’re looking for overnight success without learning anything new, business ownership will disappoint you.

I don’t say this to discourage you.

I say it because a business can change your life—but only when you’re willing to learn, grow and change along the way.

Anything of real value requires:

• Genuine effort
• Consistent learning
• Patience to gain experience
• Courage to apply what you learn
• A sincere desire to help others

You don’t need to know everything before you begin.

You don’t need to be tech-savvy or have previous business experience.

But you must be willing to become a beginner, accept guidance, practise new skills and remain consistent—even when the results aren’t immediate.

From my own journey, I’ve learned how powerful it is to have:

✓ A legitimate business plan
✓ A clear path forward
✓ Step-by-step education
✓ Mentorship and guidance
✓ A supportive community
✓ The willingness to take consistent action

Success is never automatic.

But when the right plan and genuine support meet honest, consistent effort, you’re no longer simply hoping for success.

You’re building the knowledge, confidence, skills and experience required to become a capable business owner.

So instead of asking:

“How quickly can I succeed?”

Ask yourself:

“Am I willing to become the person capable of building lasting success?”

If your answer is yes, you may be more ready than you realize.

What is one skill you’re willing to learn to create a better future for yourself?

Before a tree ever reaches towards the light, it spends time strengthening its roots beneath the surface.

No one sees the pressure it pushes through, the resistance it faces or the strength it develops in the darkness. Yet those invisible roots determine how high it can grow and how much fruit it can eventually carry.

I believe life and business work in much the same way.

The quiet seasons of learning, making mistakes, developing discipline and continuing without immediate evidence of success can feel discouraging. But that does not mean nothing is happening.

Sometimes, the most meaningful growth is taking place where no one, including us, can see it yet.

If your progress feels invisible right now, keep building your roots. The world may notice the success later, but you will always remember the quiet work that made it possible 🤎

If there are no roots, there is no fruit. 🌱

A little glimpse behind the scenes of the work I genuinely love, helping women build practical business skills, confidence and leadership capacity.

Inside Mighty DreamerZ Academy, women don’t simply attend another Zoom meeting. They participate, reflect, complete practical exercises and leave with a clear implementation plan.

To me, real empowerment is not creating dependence on a mentor. It is helping women develop the ability to think, decide, communicate, take action and eventually lead others.

LEARN • APPLY • GROW • LEAD

Build with clarity. Lead with purpose.

What is one skill you are intentionally strengthening right now?

On August 17, 2021, I started this business. As I recently celebrated my fifth business anniversary, I found myself reflecting on how much my life has changed.

I also realized that I haven’t been posting as often as I once did and there is a beautiful reason behind it.

As my business has grown, it has given me more time to be present at home, create meaningful moments with my family, prioritize my health, read, write creatively, and most importantly, train and support my team through one-on-one guidance and group sessions based on their individual goals.

I’m no longer chasing the life I used to dream about. Gradually, I have started living it and for that, I am deeply grateful 😇

The nature of our business allows us to grow without constantly posting like full-time bloggers. We show up with purpose to inform, educate, and inspire at a pace that feels authentic to us.

But our most important work often happens behind the scenes: learning, growing, strengthening our skills, and supporting the people who place their trust in us and become part of our community.

Not everything meaningful needs to be posted. Sometimes, the greatest sign of growth is having the freedom to step away from social media and be fully present in the life you worked so hard to create 💞

I spent 16 years building my life in Canada.

I worked hard.

Really hard.

But it came at the cost of my physical and mental health.

Despite all those years of effort, I still struggled in the areas that mattered most:

• My family
• My relationships
• My finances
• My personal growth

How did that happen?

It started with a dream…

A dream that led me to follow the same path almost everyone around me was following.

Study.

Graduate.

Find a job.

Earn a paycheque.

Take on debt.

Study more to upgrade.

Wait for the next promotion.

Repeat.

At first, it felt like I was doing everything “right.”

But over time, I realized there was an invisible price I was paying.

No time to truly be present while my children were growing up.

Very little time and energy left for my relationship.

Not enough savings despite working so many years.

Little appreciation for how hard I worked.

Always racing against the clock instead of living at my own pace.

Very little mental peace.

And eventually…

My health began paying the price too.

The constant stress aged me faster than I ever imagined.

Then one day, something inside me quietly said,

Enough.

I realized I wasn’t waiting for the perfect time anymore.

I was waiting for my life to begin.

So I started searching for another way.

Not an easier way.

A better way.

A way where I could still work hard, but actually enjoy the life I was working so hard to build.

Today, my life looks very different.

I wake up without an alarm clock.

I get the sleep my body needs instead of constantly running on empty.

I have time to enjoy meaningful conversations with my family.

I continue building a flexible business that allows me to save, invest, and create multiple streams of income.

I keep learning every single day, but now what I learn directly builds practical skills that help me grow as a person and as a business owner.

Looking back, I don’t regret working hard.

I regret believing that working harder was the only option.

The biggest transformation wasn’t my income.

It was realizing that success isn’t just about making a living.

It’s about creating a life you don’t need a vacation from.

In just four and a half years, my life changed in ways I once thought would take a lifetime.

Today, I’m a grateful six-figure business owner.

But even more importantly…

I’m finally living the life I spent sixteen years hoping would arrive someday.

There was a time when I believed my mayka disappeared the day my mom passed away over seven years ago.

But life had other plans.

The highs and lows I experienced over the years showed me people’s true colours. They taught me the difference between genuine love and convenience, between selfless care and hidden intentions, between those who stay and those who quietly walk away.

Yet through every season of life, no matter how difficult things became, no matter the distance, the time zones, or the responsibilities we all carried. But one thing never changed.

The unwavering love of my oldest friends.

Twenty-two years of friendship.

Gagan, you wear your heart on your sleeve. You pour love into every conversation as if today were the last chance to say it.

Dipu, your love is quieter. You pray silently, care deeply, share wisdom, and somehow always know how to make me feel supported without asking for anything in return.

People come and go.
Relationships change.
Some disappoint us.
Some disappear.

But you two stayed.

You stayed honest.
You stayed genuine.
You loved me without conditions.

This Friendship Day feels even more special because it’s also Gagan’s birthday.

Today, I thank Waheguru for blessing me with a friendship that has stood strong for 22 beautiful years. My prayer is that everyone experiences the comfort of having friends who become family.

Gagan and Dipu…

You are my mayka.

Knowing that your doors and your hearts are always open whenever I need to come “home” is one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Happy Friendship Day.

And happiest birthday, Gagan. May Waheguru bless you with good health, endless happiness, and all the love you so freely give to everyone around you 💞
