ElectraSonic Studio We're an audio mixing and tracking facility based in North Vancouver, BC. Our vintage-gear-oriented space is centered on our '70's era Neve 8078 console.

ElectraSonic Sound Recording Studio is the genesis of two people: Hoke and me (Eric Reed). The enigmatic Hoke has been a studio owner for most of his life. He is a particularly savvy and talented dude with a penchant for high quality vintage recording gear. He's a mysterious cat, and that's that. I am particular about creating a studio environment that allows for the musical performance as a whole

to be the primary focus. The musicians and singers on the floor will provide good sounds and soulful takes once this environment is achieved. The two of us have been involved in recording studios together for quite some time. At some point Hoke decided to pick up a Neve 8078 from LA. It was in rough shape – but we set our minds to it for almost four years of hard teching… the result – a beautiful sounding, large format, vintage transformer-based console. The Neve 8078 is considered to be the last of the best sounding classic Neve production mixing consoles. It is a particularly efficient tracking console. The world-class Electriclady Studios in New York has the same console...

What a ride!!!
The boys and I went in to ElectraSonic Studio to finish the beds for the new album 'A Woman Like Me' on April 19 and wow!!! Such a magical day. Bringing producer and good friend John Ellis on the production train was the right thing to do on so many levels. My main man Eric Reed captured wicked drum sounds and the music flowed so brilliantly out of Geoff Hicks (drums) and Rob Becker (bass). I'm honoured and grateful to have such talented friends sharing in the creation of this album with me and thanks to you for your support and encouragement as we inch toward the finish line. Now on to overdubs as time and money permits.
