Once in a while, you experience nature in a way that rewires your brain chemistry.
That is Wells Gray for us.
Five days of camping, endless forest roads, campfires under the stars, glacier-fed lakes, wildlife, and some of the most breathtaking waterfalls we’ve ever witnessed.
Top 5 waterfalls in Wells gray provincial park are:
1) Helmcken Falls - the giant. Watching one of Canada’s tallest waterfalls thunder into the canyon is something no camera can truly capture.
2) Dawson Falls -often called the “Mini Niagara” because of its incredible width and raw power.
3) Moul Falls - the highlight of our trip. Walking behind the waterfall and feeling its mist all around you is an experience we’ll never forget.
4) Spahats Falls -a dramatic ribbon of water plunging into a volcanic canyon, proving that nature doesn’t need to be loud to leave you speechless.
5) Mahood Falls - hidden, peaceful, and unbelievably beautiful, where the river crashes into a turquoise pool surrounded by untouched wilderness.
Bonus stop: Canim Falls, another incredible reminder that Wells Gray is truly Canada’s waterfall paradise.
This trip wasn’t just about chasing waterfalls. It was about slowing down, disconnecting from screens, waking up to birds instead of alarms, sharing stories around the campfire, and remembering how small we are in the middle of nature.
Some places become memories.
Some become traditions.
And then there are places like Wells Gray… they become a part of who you are.
We’ll definitely be back ❤️
