Weekly Grocery Review - Sales for Oct 17th – Oct 23rd, 2024 - Mangoes deal is a steal

I was hoping to find some bargains, but I struck out this week. I guess I'll just have to save my money for next week's shopping spree 🙂 BUT I will definitely get mangoes ;-)

-Cut from Canada AAA Beef Top Sirloin Oven Roast $8.99/lb (Original Price $13.99): This is a decent deal on top sirloin roast. It's a good price, especially considering the original price.

- Coho Salmon Fillets $9.99/lb (Original Price $14.99): This is a good deal on coho salmon fillets. It's a good price, especially considering the original price.

- Burnbrae Farms Omega-3 Eggs $5.88/12 eggs: This is an average price for omega-3 eggs.

- Cut from Canada AAA Beef Stewing Beef $7.99: This is an average price for stewing beef.

- Fresh Wild Caught Pickerel Fillets $12.99/lb (Original Price $16.99): This is a good deal on pickerel fillets. It's a good price, especially considering the original price.

- Fresh Avocados $5/6 per bag: This is not the best deal on avocados. You can find them cheaper at Food Basics ($2.76) but Walmart ($1.94) has the best price. However, it's important to note that the quality may be different.

- Chicken Drumsticks $3.49 /lb: It was $3.29/lb last week and not even the best deal. Pass. The cheapest I found so far was $1.99/lb.

- Frozen Cooked with Tail On Pacific White Shrimps $8.99 ea./550 g: This is an average price for frozen shrimp.

- Red Cluster Tomatoes $0.65 ea (Approximately 5 tomatoes per cluster): This is a good deal on red cluster tomatoes.

- Red Onion $0.84/lb: Skip the red onions this week. Last week, No Frills had a much better deal at $3.99 per 10-pound bag.

- Romaine Lettuce Hearts 3 units per package $2.76 ea: This is a decent deal on romaine lettuce hearts.

Bag of avocados $2.76/5 Pieces: This is a decent deal on avocados, but Walmart has a better deal this week at $1.94 for 5 avocados.

Bag of avocados Hass $2.76/6 Pieces: This is a decent deal on Hass avocados, but Walmart has a better deal this week at $1.94 for 5 avocados.

Black Diamond Old Cheddar Cheese $4.99/400 g: This is a good deal on Black Diamond old cheddar cheese. I wish it was on sale for $4.44 three weeks ago.

Cut from Canada AAA Beef Whole Beef Tenderloin $19.99/lb: This is a great deal on whole beef tenderloin! This is a high-quality cut of meat that's perfect for special occasions.

Boursin Cheese All varieties 2 for $12 (Save $1.99): This is a misleading deal. You can find Boursin cheese at Walmart for $4.47 each, which is cheaper than buying two for $12.

Gay Lea Sour Cream All varieties $2.88: This is not the best price for sour cream. Freshco has it cheaper for $$2.49

Raspberries 170 g Product of USA or Mexico $1.66: This is a good deal on raspberries, especially compared to the price at Walmart ($3.97).

Sweet Potatoes Product of Ontario $0.88/lb: This is not a great deal on sweet potatoes. You can find them cheaper at Walmart or Real Canadian Superstore.

President's Choice Free From Whole Chicken Air Chilled $4.99/lb: Pass on this deal. It's not a great price for air-chilled chicken.

Free From Australian Lamb Loin Chops $12.99/ 1lb: Lamb loin chops are expensive, so this isn't a bad deal. However, with everyone buying turkeys for Thanksgiving, you might be able to find a better price on lamb later in the week.

Haddock Fillets Club Pack $10.49/ 1lb: This is a good deal on haddock fillets. The club pack is a great value.

Extra Large Green Seedless Grapes or Extra Large Red Seedless Grapes $1.49/ 1lb: Skip these grapes. They're not on sale.

Brussels Sprouts $2.99/ 1lb: This is not a good deal on Brussels sprouts. You can usually find them for less than $2 a pound.

Your Fresh Market AAA Angus Beef Boneless Cross Rib Roast $5.77/lb: This is a good deal on AAA Angus beef boneless cross rib roast. It's a limited-time offer, so grab some while they're on sale.

Yellow onions or carrots $0.94/ 1.36kg bag: This is a good deal on yellow onions or carrots. They're both versatile vegetables that can be used in a variety of dishes.

Cara Cara Oranges $2.84: This is an amazing deal on Cara Cara oranges! They're a great source of vitamin C and are perfect for making fresh juice.
