The Okotoks Western Wheel is an award-winning community newspaper serving Okotoks and surrounding area with hyper-local news since 1976. About 35,000 residents of Okotoks and surrounding area use the Western Wheel on a weekly basis, and more than 85 per cent of residents choose the Wheel as a go-to source for local information. Our paper is published for free every Wednesday to more than 13,000 households and businesses in the area.

The Western Wheel has been named “Best Community Newspaper” in Canada twice in the past five years, and is dedicated to informing the community as news breaks. We are dedicated to growing with the community to cover the events that matter to the people of Okotoks.
