A little bit of a more personal update:

A year ago my mom got sick and in January of this year we learned it was stage 4 brain cancer. There was a lot of ups and downs and unknowns. A few months ago she went back into the hospital and we found out she had pancreatic cancer as well now which was caught early due to the placement but sadly there was nothing that could be done. Last Thursday she lost her battle to cancer. While it is hard losing her we are all very thankful she was not in much pain. She was in hospice for less than 24 hours and they were amazing.

I have been very quiet on here while dealing with going to Kelowna a lot to visit her / take her to appointments and now cleaning out her apartment and planning her service.

I am still working for my clients behind the scenes and am looking forward to meeting new ones soon.

Been feeling a bit off the last few days. Just a terrible headache that just doesn’t seem to go away. I am thankful for my job and the fact I can do most of it any time I want. So when the headache isn’t strong I can hop into my office or on my laptop and get some work done and rest when it’s bad. I always like to be a bit head on posts so if there is an emergency or something comes up I know my clients are covered.

I started this business for many reasons:

I wanted to help smaller businesses succeed
I wanted to be more creative
I wanted to make my own schedule
I wanted to be there more for my family after years of working 1.5 hours away
I wanted to challenge myself
I wanted to learn more

Owning your own business is no joke. The highs are high but the lows are low. Today I am feeling the lows. I love what I do and I will continue to grow and learn and be better for my clients but today I take a few moments to be stressed and down.

I was out of the office this long weekend. Went away with the family for a little camping trip before we all get busy with the summer. Two of my kids have part time jobs now this summer so not sure if we will get out again all together so it was nice to take advantage of it this weekend.
