“Dookie was the first album I ever bought, the first album cover I ever stared at for hours, the first lyric booklet I read through and through, the first album I sang and played along with front to back. I shared my love of Dookie with the guys from All You Need & they started pulling me on stage to sing “She” anytime I went to see them play. It’s pretty dang rad to see this new generation rocking the songs that sparked my obsession with music. All You Need rules! 🤘We set up our gear in a gas station parking lot without permission and captured this in one take - I think would approve of this work ethic.”

BTS shots from the field recording session for Skribe’s “Inside the Machine” in Clarksdale, MS. I opted for the “Jim Morrison” mic (EV 676) after seeing one in a photo at the Delta Blues Museum. Really dig how the double Amp stereo tremolo turned out & the slapback delay from the sound bouncing off the far wall was a gnarly effect. Real “electric dirt” sound. “Folk daddy Caleb Stine hosted us on our recent tour through the Virginias. He fried us some late night Harrisonburgers, scooped us a tasting of the local favorite (Smiley’s) ice cream, and made history; bumper stickering his vehicle for the first time ever with a ‘Shakespeare, Whitman, Townes Van Zandt’ slap. He played us this original song on his family farmland & we later realized it was Van Zandt’s birthday. It was pretty amazing how the wind calmed down with just enough time for this take.”
