Calling uOttawa undergraduates! As the new academic year rolls in, we are looking for new Readers to join us for 2026-2027. We publish one issue for each Fall and Winter term.

As a Reader you will:
1. Read and rate incoming submissions
2. Attend team and board meetings
3. Assist in selecting the contents of each issue

By completing the short editing evaluation linked in our bio, you are potentially committing to 2-3 hours a week (~2 hours for vetting submissions and 1 hour for virtual or in person meetings if schedules align).

The attendance of extracurricular events such as open mic nights and launch parties are optional but encouraged.

There’s only one week left until our summer contest closes! Submit your work following the theme “possession” before August 26th at 11:59 pm. We are accepting one piece of either poetry, flash fiction, or flash creative non-fiction (up to 750 words) from each contributor. Get your work in for a chance to get published and win a cash prize! Our themed flash contest is officially open for submissions! Theme: POSSESSION. Show us what “possession” means to you in a work of poetry or flash fiction/creative non-fiction (up to 750 words). Our three finalists will receive CASH PRIZES and their winning pieces will be published on our website!! 😁 We are so excited to see what you come up with. Deadline: August 26th.
