A disquiet tilts. Unease, in the hall of mirrors. A kind of agony; a land of ghosts. The All-Seeing Eye rolls up into the head, and blinks. Left and right, hands twitch of their own accord, clenching at a disembodied, strung out bruxism. Shuffling solo through the dematerialized mall, alone with the clicking of buttons and teeth-- the coin of the land.

a collapsing waveform, swallowing its own echo.
a dream crashing before it begins.

The second release in the "Dispatches" series of succinct audio transmissions via postcard/download, a people of oscillators follows up "The ether is free" with "±°". Warmer and fuller than the brittle radio ethereality of "ether", "±°" is organic, rhythmic, relaxed and closer to the ground, though no less alien.

Grasping exhalations, signing a secret language. Hisses and wings. Flit, and follow gently pulsing beacons to distant groves, beyond earth...where "faintly one hears the sound of the cicadas."

26 minutes of fictive radioscapes that recall shortwave dérives and the sound of the ionosphere doing its own thing. Peopled by chirps and chatter, radio ‘static’ reveals an electromagnetic wilderness, traversed by spectral voices, stray ciphers and peeling heterodyne tones.

Released as a build-it-yourself FM radio transmitter kit, including custom printed circuit board, electronic components, assembly instructions, essay, and a digital download code, all enclosed in a laser-engraved tin and by which the sound therein is intended to be broadcast-- re-transmit for accurate delivery. Limited edition of 50.
