I'm very sorry to hear that Barbara Dane, a legendary folk, jazz and blues singer, and political activist, has died at age 87. In 2017, I was honored to interview Barbara for the Wisdom of the Elders panel at Folk Alliance International. I will devote the November 12 edition of Stranger Songs to Barbara's recordings and collaborations.

I'm very sorry to hear that Kris Kristofferson has passed away at age 88. I had several conversations with Kris over the years and he was always a pleasure to talk with.
