After witnessing the dehumanizing and rãcist rhetoric directed at former First Lady Michelle Obama, we at She Speaks with Doreen Ngwa refuse to stay silent.

We watched an athlete use a national platform to spew hate disguised as a "joke." The silence that followed proves that far too many still feel Black women are not worthy of respect or basic human decency.

Our Podcast/Show was founded on the fundamental belief that the dignity of Black women is non-negotiable. Mrs. Obama is a mother, a lawyer, a humanitarian, and a former First Lady who served her country with unmatched grace. But even without her accolades, she and every Black woman and every woman is worthy of protection.

We join the call for Paramount+ and the UFC to issue a clear statement regarding human decency and accountability. Black women and our families are watching. We will not stop advocating for the respect, protection, and equality of our community.
