A little extra thankful for the years of memories and all the chapters we still get to share. 🤎

Waffle’s first ever Ottawa Humane Society Wiggle Waggle Walk and Run 🐾

Our first race together, and we couldn’t think of a better one to start with. So proud of our little runner for showing up. 🐶✨

We named our group “Waffle, Bambi & the Askals.” 🐾

So, why “the Askals”?

In the Philippines, askal comes from asong kalye, meaning “street dog” (aso = dog, kalye = street). The term has since evolved, with Aspin, short for Asong Pinoy, becoming a more commonly used term for Filipino native dogs. Pinoy is a Filipino term for Filipinos.

Since our whole team is Filipino, we thought Waffle, Bambi & the Askals was the perfect name for our little family running crew. 😂🇵🇭

We’re so grateful to Waffle and Bambi’s titos and titas for running with us and supporting this cause! 🧡

We’re running for Waffle & Bambi, and all their furriends at the Ottawa Humane Society who are still waiting for their forever homes. 🐶🐱

Kisses for a good cause 💋

I somehow got into running this year, and of course, it only makes sense that our very first running event is with Waffle! 🐶🏃🏻‍♀️🐾

Good food, even in the great outdoors 🏕️🤎

For our camping weekend, we kept Waffle’s meals simple with Now Fresh | Premium Pet Food wet food pouches. Convenient to pack and serve, without compromising on the good stuff.

Swipe to see the anticipation 😂

It’s officially the first weekend of summer, but the weather clearly didn’t get the memo 😂☔️ So here’s our first picnic of the year from a few weeks ago. 🧺

Side note: How’s everyone feeling about Instagram’s new multiple/single caption update? I don’t mind it. I think it’s a nice option to have, especially when you can’t decide on just one caption 😂

we forgot his water bowl 😅

Meanwhile, we’ve been living in raincoats and boots all week lol.

A new food truck added to our Ottawa foodie list, .ottawa ✅🙌🏽

The crepe itself was already so tasty, even before the fillings. Bonus points for having a cozy dog-friendly seating area 🐾

Ottawa friends, make sure to check them out! ✨
